Trips & Visits
Some of our Year 9 students attended the Festival of Ideas at the University of Hertfordshire, for the chance to explore innovative projects in STEM and the arts.
The students took part in several activities including interacting with robots and a humanoid robot designed to improve the lives of children with autism; trying out VR technology used in the university's engineering and healthcare courses; driving scale model QCars; an immersive experience in the cosmodrome; and live healthcare simulations including a chance to practice CPR.
Our students had an amazing day out at Edgbaston Stadium!
Our girls' cricket teams cheered on as England Women triumphed over Pakistan by 53 runs, in front of an impressive crowd of 12,241 fans, highlighting the fantastic growth of the game.
The girls left feeling inspired after witnessing such an exciting match and even got a glimpse of BBC Sport and Sky Sports presenters in action!
This term we have held the most trips that we have done in a term this academic year, 18 in total! The rewards trips for year 7 through to 10 are an exciting opportunity to celebrate students' efforts and successes of the year Year 7 went to Whipsnade Zoo, year 8 took part in Spy Games and Year 9 and 10 went to Chessington World of Adventures. Trips and visits this term have included tennis at Wimbledon and cricket at Edgbaston, a number of trips to restaurants, university and college trips as well as a visit to the theatre to see Aladdin!
