Welcome At Tournesol, we know the right size and shape of planters can make a huge difference to the design of indoor and outdoor spaces. So, we offer various standard planter options - round, tall, rectangular, tapered, square, and more. Standard sizes can be crafted up to 5’H or 10’L and/or can be customized for exact measurements to fit.

Plus, we carefully fabricate and finish our planters to guarantee the highest satisfaction for our customers.

The Aquarian Collection The traditional water-jar shape inspires the range of Aquarian Collection pots.

Use a highly polished finish to get the feel of an outstanding ceramic planter, or go with a more rustic GFRC or textured FRP finish for an older, ancient feel. The Aquarian’s elegant curves work in both commercial and residential spaces.

The Boulevard Collection Tournesol’s environmentally-friendly Boulevard wood clads a robust FRP fiberglass liner to make a beautiful, long-lasting commercial grade wood planter. Unlike other large outdoor wood planters, the Boulevard is designed for 25+ years of service. The wood cladding can even be deleted on sides where not needed - against a wall, butted up against another planter, etc.

The Boulevard planter with the trellis system creates an upright privacy screen, privacy panel or wind screen that can be used to hide unsightly views.

The Delta Collection Delta is a collection of architecturally scaled, three-sided planters designed by Tournesol.

Their playful sculptural forms are deliberately different from every angle for visual highlight, contrast, and charm. Place them individually or arrange them in groups to maximize their cool effects. Standard planters solve functional design challenges by defining and separating space, yet the Delta planters additionally display a unique solution for amenity decks to streetscapes, courtyards and rooftops.

The Downtown Collection By adding a distinctive curve and soft corners, Tournesol has created a new classic container, the Downtown Collection.

Using tall, elegant proportions typical of the new modern, it adds flair to any project. All round, square and rectangular shapes carry the distinctive proportions, while available shallower round sizes are useful for flower and color displays.

The Florence Collection The romance of the renaissance is created with a rounded scrolltop pot, and round accent in the lower portion, for an elegant style design. The lightweight GFRC concrete is durable enough for high traffic locations yet light enough to be moved. Florence Collection pots add a romantic style to either indoor or outdoor environments.

The Harlie Collection The prismatic form of the new Harlie Collection by Australian designer Luxxbox is at once both faceted gemstone and articulated artifact. Drawing on gemology and mathematical principles with a playful reference to the geometry of the daring “Harlequin� in full costume, Harlie holds court with a killer design edge.

The Slash Collection Surprising, unique, mind-blowing – just a few of the adjectives that come to mind when you look at the new Slash Collection planter design. From one side, a rectangle – from the other a parallelogram. Available in FRP and GFRC, in squares and rectangles from 2 to 8 feet in length.

Available in lightweight FRP fiberglass and lightweight GFRC concrete, Urban planters are designed to be durable despite low weight - even for heavy-traffic locations.

The Wilshire Collection The Wilshire Collection is nothing fancy - straight walls and a slight reveal. Put several of them together and it creates a highly effective way to configure space using live plants. The elegant straight lines disappear, emphasizing the plant, as it should be. Wilshire planters are also available as Wilshire Hanging Box Planters and as a Wilshire Screen Planter with Trellis System. Available in FRP fiberglass, lightweight GFRC concrete, and steel in a huge range of sizes.

The Zena Collection Zena Collection planters have a pronounced, highly-tapered design. The lightweight GFRC concrete is durable enough for high traffic locations yet light enough to be moved.

With a wide rim and a narrow waist, the Zena Collection pots can be used as focal points for nearly any streetscape, adding a sleek style to urban environments.

Our Planter Options TourneSeal Tournesol Siteworks’ standard pots & planters are designed to be used with drain holes. When a container needs to be watertight, we recommend waterproofing the interior. Our TourneSeal coating system is liquid applied, elastomeric waterproofing material, designed to seal the pot. While we water test every planter coated with TourneSeal, best practices (and our warranty) demand that the installing contractor field test with 6” of water to confirm the absence of installation or shipping damage prior to planting.

Casters Add mobility to most small and medium sized FRP and GFRC planters. We use hard polypropylene casters, appropriate for smooth and slightly rough surfaces. The casters are non-locking and recessed in the floor of the pot. The bottom of the skirt hiding the casters will be approximately 1/2” off the surface, around the entire pot. Casters are not typically provided for pots larger than 48”, or especially narrow planters.

Drain Holes All of our pots & planters are designed to be used with drain holes to ensure long-term plant health. Typically, our FRP pots are delivered without drain holes to allow the contractor to field verify the correct location prior to drilling. Tournesol Siteworks is pleased to pre-drill drain holes in either GFRC lightweight concrete or FRP fiberglass pots when requested by the customer. Standard drain hole configurations (see below) are done free-of-charge at the factory. For unique configuration hole sizes or quantities, please speak with your salesperson. Note: All dimensions are approximate and the location of drain holes can vary +/- 1/2�; standard drain holes are 1-5/8� Diameter.

Our Planter Options Continued Scoop Scoop is a feature added to Wilshire Collection planters that allows multiple individual modular units to appear to form a continuous planting area. Adjacent planter walls are lowered and may be sealed in the field with the recommended Scoop Connection Kit, which allows for a continuous layer of soil and planting above.

Cast-in Accessory Pockets Tournesol can customize a standard planter with pockets to hold lighting, audio, electrical, or junction boxes. We can cast in sliding or swinging doors, creating hidden spaces for irrigation controls or storage access.

Bioretention

Bioretention Planters Bioretention (also referred to as flow-through) planters act as an on-structure organic filter for stormwater systems. Tournesol Siteworks offers several standard configurations as well as modifying our designs to a specific application. See our website for details.
