House Sports Day Programme Thursday 27 March 2025
House Sports Day Programme Thursday 27 March 2025
first aid will be administered by Mrs. Burrell and Mrs. Moulson (school nurses) across both sites. qualified first aider in the P.E. Department will also be overseeing each competition. Pupils are also reminded to:
Use only the designated pupil toilet and changing facilities in the Sports Centre or Urnfield Pavilion. Staff and visitor toilets should not be used.
Remain vigilant and keep valuables stored safely.
It is a pleasure to welcome all athletes, staff and families to House Sports Day 2025. This year is a particularly special one, as we host our first-ever House Sports Day entirely across Tormead’s own facilities. With hockey, football and rowing/cycling taking place at our newly upgraded Urnfield Sports Ground, alongside a variety of events at Tormead’s Main School site, this truly marks a milestone as our first ‘home’ House Sports event.
Not leave any site unless permission has been granted by a staff member and they have signed with the P.E. Department, who will inform the Registration Team.
In the event of an emergency, such as a fire evacuation, staff, spectators and pupils should assemble on the bottom netball courts.
Today promises to be a fantastic celebration of competition, teamwork and school spirit. I am excited to see our sports community come together for a truly memorable and action-packed event.
Additional Information
A huge thank you goes to the P.E. Department, whose dedication and hard work have made this event possible, ensuring that every athlete has a positive experience. I would also like to extend my gratitude to all Heads of House and Tormead staff supporting today’s activities and to the families who have come to cheer on our athletes.
Lunch packed lunch will be provided for all pupils who usually have school lunch. Lunch will be served in staggered sittings:
First sitting for athletes and staff on-site for Session 2: 13:00 – 13:20
Finally, I wish all competitors the very best of luck. Give it your all, support one another, and may the best House win!
Second sitting for athletes and staff off-site for Session 2: 13:20 – 13:40
