Throughout human history, women have been restricted to staying at home and taking care of kids. The shackles were broken by waves of awareness and brave women like Tori. And at last, freedom and choice became their destiny. Today we are talking about one such woman who aspired and then inspired numerous female souls around the globe. Her name is Tori Jovan
Nelson, and she is known for her fearless and undefeatable boxing career.
The Incredible Journey of Tori’s Extraordinary Achievements
Tori Nelson is a professional boxer from the United States. She has won three-weight world championships with her passion and hard work, including the WBC female middleweight belt in 2011. In 2012, Tori won the WIBA middleweight championship; in 2013 and 2014, she won the WIBA welterweight title; and in 2016, she won the WIBA super middleweight title.
However, it was not enough for Tori. Her commitment to her craft persisted, and she was crowned World

Champion in the 4 Weight Division 13 times. She believes in lifelong battles with no ends and complete devotion. In October of 2022, she will be inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame for her perseverance and accomplishments. She is a well-deserving candidate for America’s major awards and rewards.
Tori’s Well-Needed Advice To Aspiring Athletes
Tori believes that winning in the boxing ring only doesn’t mean success. Success is inner satisfaction that a sports person achieves throughout his life. Winning boxing fights is one thing, and staying a winner is another.
As Tori states, “I was
trained to win. After boxing, I still make sure I achieve my own personal victories. Being a world champion is honorable, but staying one is part of my winning mentality. Life is the trophy.”
Tori came from a humble background and reached new heights, but her humble attitude stayed with her. Her stature is just normal, but her strength and character are extraordinary. Even at her peak, she respects everyone and acts with kindness while dedicating her victories to God.

An Excuseless Lady
Humans make excuses to avoid what they don’t like. But Tori was excuseless. She didn’t make excuses while fighting in life, doing multiple jobs, and raising her kids single handedly. Moreover, Tori Nelson made a name in boxing despite numerous hardships and obstacles. She could have cursed her fate and moved on with a nameless life, but she didn’t because she is an excuseless lady.
Even after retirement, Tori Nelson stays active and trains. She knows that a healthy mind needs a strong body and relaxed muscles. So, regular training is still her top priority.
The Toughest Parts Of Her Journey
A Perfect Example Of Hard Work and Determination
Tori wasn’t always a boxer, but she was a fighter from the beginning. When she started going to a gym, it wasn’t for boxing. She just wanted to put off some weight she had gained due to her children. At the time, Tori drove a school bus, worked at a restaurant, and mothered her kids.
What’s shocking? She started it all at the age of 29! No one deems it an ideal age for boxing, but she did it and made it. She says, “It’s never too late to do anything you want to do.” And she has proved it.
Boxing is like life for Tori, for which you have to fight to get through it and survive. Talking to Top Level Magazine, Tori said it was tough to manage multiple jobs, raise kids, train, and fight. Moreover, Boxing has been deemed a males game, so getting in there and earning respect was way harder. She even fought for free to make her name. It wasn’t all flowers and rainbows. She couldn’t always be with her children as boxing involves a lot of traveling. It was tough to leave her kids behind and go win the games.
Paying Back To The Community
Tori Nelson retired when her mother died. Now, she attends public talks and events to share her experience and spread awareness. Tori Nelson believes that when someone reaches the peak, they should give hands to others to uplift them. That’s how we’ll grow together. She also plans to have a gym where she will train other women. Women will be able to get in shape to fulfill different purposes in their lives, restricted due to their weight.
The real fight begins when mind and body connect, and that’s what Tori Nelson wants to teach the women. Moreover, a documentary on the life of Tori Nelson has been released named A Female Boxer Story. It’s a must-watch if you want some strong inspiration and motivation in life.
