The story of the Waffle Queen is one that inspires and continues to be an inspiration to different people from around the world. Glynis Albright, the CEO of the global Glynis’ Kitchen®, has an interesting adventure that is yet unfolding.

Early Years

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Glynis’ love for cooking, baking, and anything concerning food was evident to her. At an early stage of 10 years old, she already took charge of her parent’s kitchen to prepare meals and tried making different dessert types. Through college, she kept on making waffles, pancakes, and other desserts for her friends. On getting married to her high school sweetheart, Gerald, waffles was what got them through time when the budget was tight.

According to her video interview with Top Level Magazine, her first experience with tasty cuisines

was with her great grandmother and her grandmother. Her great grandma, Tess, taught her how to use and hold a cup, how to speak proper French, and engage in good tea time manners. Her grandma Momo was the pastor of their neighborhood church. She loved to cook for the neighborhood once a month in what was called New Orleans dinner. Together with other church members, they bring and cook different food items, which is shared between the congregations.

In a way, Glynis attributes these personal hallmarks of her immediate family members as some of the reasons why it is easier for her to do what she does with Glynis’ KitchenⓇ. This continuous honing of her culinary skills coupled with the love of feeding people and nourishing their body with useful nutrients from food soon became Glynis KitchenⓇ. According to her, she has always loved cooking. It is soothing and healing for her. For many years, she has cooked for her husband Gerald Albright, daughter Selina, son Brandon, and anyone who stopped by around her. It did not matter who the person was, Glynis was ready to make a meal for everyone that included the most important ingredient, which is love.

Health Challenges

After being diagnosed with a rare blood disease, she took the naturopathic route to help boost her healing chances. Considering the circumstances surrounding her disease, she thought of ways she could better have a fighting chance at getting the health result that she wanted. In the process, she was able to come up with healthy desserts that contain all the nutrients and spices that are beneficial to the body. All these while still treating people to delicious desserts.

Leukemia brings its own share of challenges. However, Glynis had the support of her loving husband and children to fight it through. During this time, Just Sweet EnoughⓇ was born. Even while battling her own storm, Glynis still wanted to help others who were suffering from the same health battles as herself. She went back to night school to earn a PhD in Natural Health/Food Science to enhance her knowledge of food and its nutrition.

Bouncing back stronger from this storm made her continue to help people in need. She continues to work with various doctors in various fields to help provide care to their patients. For this reason, she created Cookie DotsⓇ for patients and others.

Achievements and Accomplishments

The Waffle Queen is a popular name known on several major cruise lines, The Food Network, Morning shows, and various organizations. At almost 64 and young, Glynis is involved in providing the best of her delicious products through her kitchen and her love through her non-profit organization.
