A work in progress… At a regular meeting last fall, the Central Decatur School Board approved a paving project at the South Elementary School that would make some much needed repairs and improvements. The project called for paving of the drive in front of the building on the north, along with replacing sections of broken sidewalk and the ramp going up to the preschool area of the building. In addition, the area at the main entrance to the building will be replaced and a drainage system installed along with a sidewalk to allow better handicapped accessibility to the main entrance. The contract for the job was awarded to Hill Construction (Jim and Garry) for $59,950.
