■ 2007 | Made partner, leading a diverse team of multidisciplinary designers. The firm's focus at the time was primarily on adaptive reuse and historic restoration in Chicago.

■ 2004-2008 | Spearheaded student housing business development, expanding the practice to on and near campus markets outside of Chicago.

■ 2004 -2008 | Lead Designer / Partner in Charge for firm's first series of new construction condominium high-rise developments over 40-stories.

■ 2008 - 2014 | Pursued and expanded the client base to the West Coast and Upper Northwest regions across multiple market sectors, with a focus on community outreach and entitlement approval initiatives. Helped grow the firm to over 30 designers and pursued licensure in Oregon and Washington State to further expand the client base.

■ 2015 | Lead Designer / Partner in Charge for one of Fulton Market’s most impactful commercial developments - Fulton 1K - with focus on hybrid new construction / adaptive re-use and restoration.

■ 2016-2018 | Spearheaded the pursuit of the residential mass timber market, serving as Lead Designer / Partner in Charge of the firm's first and the nation’s largest built residential mass timber development - Intro Cleveland. During this time, helped grow the firm by expanding the staff to over 45 designers.

■ 2020 | Pursued licensure in California to tap into residential high-rise market opportunities in Los Angeles. Continued to help expand the firm to 60 designers, working across 15 states.

■ 2021 | Continued to pursue projects in and around Fulton Market, successfully entitling 420 N. May, one of Fulton Market’s tallest residential developments. Served as Lead Designer / Partner in Charge for the project.

■ 2022-2023 | Expanded market pursuits in Western, Southwestern, and Southern Belt territories, focusing on residential and mixed-use developments, including additional mass timber residential projects across four states.

■ 2024-2025 | Pursued licensure in Washington, D.C., to expand the profile in mass timber residential development with East Coast clientele, successfully landing the firm’s first project focusing on mass timber, LEED Platinum, and Net Zero Carbon design.

CLIENT & MARKET-BASED EXPERIENCE

Adaptive Re-Use & Historic Restoration

■ Early in my career, I primarily focused on largescale adaptive re-use conversions, transforming the wealth of historic Chicago industrial high-rises into luxury residential loft apartments and condos.

■ This understanding of preserving existing structures and historic detail has greatly influenced my perspective on architecture and design. I believe that linking the design aesthetic of new construction with the site and context leads to a more cohesive and successful development.

■ Much of my early experience with historic preservation fostered an affinity for working with warm, natural materials such as masonry and heavy timber. This ultimately influenced my interest in the multi-family mass timber design market, which I pursued through one of the largest completed residential mass timber developmentsIntro Cleveland.

Mass Timber Development

■ Responsible for overseeing the management, design, and construction of over 2 million square feet of built and in-design mixed-use residential and commercial mass timber developments.

■ Directed team to present and work with code and fire-life safety officials to secure the approval of one of North America's largest mass timber developments.

■ Led the creation of residential timber design standards for dwelling units, including the interface between structural and interior architectural details.

Mixed-Use Rental & Condo Residential Housing

■ Responsible for overseeing the management, design, and construction of over 9 million square feet of national residential developments across a diverse range of clientele and marketplaces.

■ Collaborated with the owner and realtor teams to assist in developing unit design and brand standards.

■ Acted as the liaison, presenting concept and visioning goals, and executed numerous entitlement processes between the design team and municipalities across multiple states.

■ Managed and coordinated the production of documents and enforcement of schedules across numerous design trades.

Student Living

■ Responsible for overseeing the management, design, and construction of over 5 million square feet of on- and off-campus student living developments nationwide.

■ Created visioning standards with clients to advance the current architectural style of student living, including understanding unique social trends that influence amenities, common spaces, tenant perceptions, student safety, and wellness.

Branded Hospitality

■ Accountable for supervising the management, design, and construction of more than 1 million square feet of nationally recognized and boutique hospitality projects across the country.

12-story, 330,000 SF mixed-use market-rate mass timber housing development, including 370 apartments, branded ground-level retail and restaurant space, and a rooftop pool and amenity terrace overlooking Anacostia Park and DC's most important monuments. The project is also seeking LEED Platinum and Net Zero Carbon ratings. The façade features masonry piers and exposed timber elements which evoke a modern-industrial feel.

Intro Buckhead | Atlanta GA

20-story mixed-use market-rate mass timber housing development offering over 500,000 SF of rentable space with 332 apartments. The project includes indoor and outdoor resortlevel amenities, rooftop pool and garden terrace, ground-floor retail, and below-grade parking. Located along the Paces Ferry retail corridor in downtown Buckhead, the design features a strong industrial grid façade supported by 3-story tall exposed timber 'V's at its base, along with 3-story private townhomes lining the garage.

Intro Sugarhouse | Salt Lake City UT

14-story industrial loft-style mass timber residential development featuring over 400,000 SF of market-rate housing with 320 units, expansive ground-level retail, above-grade parking, landscaped rooftop terraces, and private townhome liner units along the 11th Street retail corridor in Sugarhouse.

Atlantic Yards Phase II "The Forge" | Atlanta GA

Phase II of Microsoft's Class A commercial development located in the Atlantic Yards district. Spanning over 630,000 SF, this campus includes three separate structures with interconnected indoor and exterior amenities, an upper-story bridge, and an open landscaped plaza. The architectural style complements the historic industrial loft vernacular established in Phase I.

Charlotte Residences | Charlotte NC

32-story, 400,000 SF mixed-use housing development, including 370 apartment units, above-grade parking, a spacious indoor amenity area overlooking a landscaped garden and pool, as well as upper-floor private penthouse suites. The design features a 6-story garage podium, highlighted with industrial masonry detailing, topped by a glass tower adorned with industrial façade elements.

Graduate Auburn | Auburn AL

5-story, 110,000 SF Graduate-branded hotel development, including 177 keys, ground-floor banquet and event spaces, and a spacious outdoor amenity porch. The design is an eclectic nod to the Victorian Gothic style prevalent around the University of Auburn.

Memoir Portland | Portland OR

6-story, 120,000 SF bespoke residential development, including 104 apartment units, ground-floor retail, and a spacious outdoor roof terrace. The design embodies the character of a historic, low-slung masonry building, complementing the adjacent boutique Soho House social club.

2-story contemporary single-family home with 4,000 SF of custom-designed space, including 4 bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths, a full-length great room that connects landscaped front and rear yards, and a theater room with connected bar. The home also features 1,200 SF of furnished outdoor space overlooking Lincoln Square. The modern facade showcases floorto-ceiling glass, glazed brick, limestone steps, and a mahogany millwork entryway.

52-story mixed-use, market-rate housing development offering over 740,000 SF of rentable space with 587 apartments. The building includes indoor and outdoor resort-level amenities, rooftop activity spaces, ground-floor retail, and below-grade parking. Located at the north gateway to Fulton Market, this development is designed with a facetted glass tower that rises from a contextual masonry base along Racine Avenue, seamlessly blending modern architecture with the neighborhood’s character.

Steel Yard Building - Parcel D, Lincoln Yards | Chicago IL

19-story, 375,000 SF mixed-use housing development nestled mid-block within the main promenade of the Lincoln Yards masterplan. The tower includes 341 units, generous common amenity spaces fronting the promenade and the northern park, retail zones, and two large boutique restaurants. The design features expansive landscaped private terraces that taper up the facade of this modern, glassy tower.

28-story, 390,000 SF mixed-use housing development featuring retail space along West Fulton Street and a wrap-around corner retail area. The tower above includes 350 units, with the main residential entry fronted by a landscaped parklet and extensive retail along Fulton. The design is a modern expression of Fulton Market's industrial roots.

34-story mixed-use market-rate housing development offering over 490,000 SF of rentable space with 297 apartments. The building includes indoor and outdoor resort-level amenities, rooftop activity spaces, ground-floor retail, and below-grade parking. Located in the heart of Koreatown, the design features a modernist glass tower arising from a historic 3-story retail building along Wilshire Avenue.

10-story industrial loft-style mass timber residential development featuring over 400,000 SF of market-rate housing with 300 units, expansive shared amenities, a ground-level food hall, private townhome units at the base, and a landscaped rooftop terrace overlooking the University of Utah.

19-story mixed-use student housing development, with over 500,000 SF of rentable area and 800 beds, including indoor and exterior resort level amenity spaces, roof deck activity spaces, and ground floor retail with below grade parking. Located along the Peachtree pedestrian corridor just outside Atlanta City Center. The design incorporates a minimalist masonry base with an all-glass corner facade. Project is rated LEED Silver.

One of the largest mass-timber structures in the U.S., INTRO is a mixed-use residential project located in the Ohio City neighborhood. The transit-oriented development is ideally located near a light-rail stop, multiple bus routes, and across from the historic West Side Market. This 9-story 300 Unit development includes 520,000 SF of residential, multi-level amenities, a boutique restaurant, and a roof-top 40,000 SF event space.

30-story modern life-style residential tower including 480,000 SF and 350 dwelling units, with expansive indoor amenity and individual walk-out terraces, with a spacious and private penthouse units at the upper floors. The project incorporates the adaptive re-use of an existing 5-story concrete loft repurposed towards commercial and additional residential.

This 25-story, mixed-use development offers student housing with more than 280,000 SF of rentable space and 600 beds. It features a range of amenities, including both indoor and outdoor resort-style spaces, a rooftop deck, and ground-floor retail. Additionally, the property includes a small adjacent public park and underground parking. Situated along the Green-U Corridor, just outside the University of Seattle, the project is certified LEED Silver.

Class A professional services and spec commercial development in the heart of the Fulton Market corridor. Over 180,000 SF, this 12-story structure includes roof deck amenities, ground floor restaurant and retail spaces, bicycle storage, & below grade parking. The design integrates a low-slung contextual masonry base juxtaposed with a modern glassy facade.

Graduate Hotel | Nashville TN

12-story boutique hotel located in the highly active Midtown neighborhood, featuring 112,000 SF and 110 Graduate-branded keys, a 4,000 SF banquet space, a rooftop amenity and bar, an outdoor pool terrace, an at-grade glass atrium branded restaurant, numerous crafted bar spaces, and below-grade parking.

Mill Race Student Living | Eugene OR

12-story 400,000 SF mixed use / student and young professional housing development, located along Eugene's downtown corridor steps from the U of O. Includes 350 market rate units, including over 8,000 SF of amenity, parking, and ground floor retail.

Historic adaptive re-use and restoration of an existing 100,000 SF deco 4-story concrete loft

26-story modern boutique residential tower including 220,000 SF and 70 dwelling units, with a small indoor amenity and individual walk-out terraces, over a 6-story garage base integrated into the facade design. The tower intersects with the minimalist cube-like garage base and is floated over the street, marking the main entry.

40-story modern boutique residential tower including 400,000 SF and 230 dwelling units, with a gracious outdoor terrace amenity at the 35th floor. The tower design plays off of the formal city grid and regularity of an adjacent existing loft building by peeling back its glass and concrete façade creating a dramatic and changing perspective along Ohio.

34-story mixed-use residential tower including 350,000 SF and 200 market rate apartment units and 100 hotel keys, along with an outdoor pool and amenity deck. Its glass meshed facade parking structure floats above ground floor retail and lobby area. The tower concept is made up of two sliver-like glassy forms which play off of one another.
