What is ADHD & Its Types? First let us first answer the question what is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. One of the most frequent neurodevelopmental problems in children is attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It's most commonly diagnosed in childhood and lasts far into adulthood. Children with ADHD may struggle to focus, manage impulsive actions (doing without considering the consequences), or be extremely active.

Signs and Symptoms It is common for youngsters to struggle with attention and to misbehave at some point in their lives. Children with ADHD do not grow out of their habits. The symptoms persist, are severe, and might cause problems at school, home, or with friends.

There are three forms of ADHD: Predominantly Inattentive Presentation: The individual has difficulty organising or completing tasks, paying attention to details, or following directions or dialogues. The individual is easily distracted and forgets daily things.

Predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive Presentation: The individual fidgets a lot and speaks a lot. It's difficult to maintain an extended period of silence (e.g., for a meal or while doing homework). Smaller children are more likely to continually run, jump, and climb. The person is agitated and prone to rash
