To me , design is a journey of expression of ones ideas, dreams all to the improvement of people environments . When I am given the opportunity to create a new space I feel honored to have the chance to bring clients the feeling of peace within their space. Upon graduation I am open to areas of hospitality and residential. Kirkwood has provided me with skills and ability’s to succeed in any given design role. Through out my schooling in design I have worked on an expansive range of design studio projects including Cooperate residential , Education , Hospitality , and Healthcare. I am excited to see what additional knowledge I will gain when given projects to design in a work environment.

THE LA VIE SOUS TERRE IS A BOUTIQUE HOTEL LOCATED IN DOWNTOWN BOSTON MA,THIS WAS AN EXISTING BUILDING THAT WE HAVE REVITALIZED AND BROUGHT UP TO CODE. THE DESIGN INTENT WAS TO CREATE A SUSTAINABLE HOTEL FOR A UNIQUE GUEST EXPERIENCE. IN DESIGNING THE LA VIE SOUS TERRE HOTEL OUR MAIN FOCUS WAS DESIGNING A SUSTAINABLE HOTEL THAT IS A SAFE AND HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT FOR NOT JUST OUR GUESTS BUT OUR STAFF AS WELL . WE WANTED THE SPACE TO FEEL A BIT MORE DRAMATIC BRINGING IN THE CHARM OF THE NIGHT LIFE OUTSIDE WHILE KEEPING THINGS VIBRANT.
We wanted the space to feel a bit more dramatic bringing in the charm of the night life outside while keeping things vibrant and still having natural materials and rhythm of line pulling from the arch ways , colors and feelings in the sunset and curtains. Playing with the woods and lines from all the imagery.
WE WANTED IT TO FEEL WARM, TIMELESS, HAVE LOTS OF NATURAL LIGHTING, TRANQUILITY, REFLECTIVITY AND ORGANIC SHAPES. THESE ARE SOME INSPIRATION IMAGES ON WHAT WE WANTED THE SPACE TO FEEL LIKE IN THE DAY

The most deluxe guest suite at the La vie sous terre is upscale than the other suites at the La vie sous terre includes one bedroom one bath full kitchen/ dining space , living room, walk in closetoffice , wrap around balcony. Selections include several memorable furnishings to achieve the charming and timeless design aesthetic . This space is designed to take advantage of the natural day light as possible for sustainability, also optimizing the open space. Combining both elements of natural and bibliophile textures with the timeless furnishings and selections created a modern and sustainable space. Which interns gives off the feeling of tranquility , relaxation. The VIP Suite is furnished with a stunning patio featuring a hot tube, and out dinning set. Also taking into consideration, the exterior space is also equipped with and open fire pit , and Lounge furnishings.

THE SCOTTSDALE LABOR AND DELIVERY CENTER WAS INSPIRED BY THE STUNNING SHAPES, COLORS, AND BEAUTY OF THE ANTELOPE CANYON. ANTELOPE CANYON IS SPLIT INTO TWO WITH AN UPPER AND LOWER HALF CREATED BY FLASH FLOODS AND RAINFALL WHICH HAPPENS IN THE NORTHERN PART OF ARIZONA. WHEN DESIGNING SCOTTSDALE LABOR & DELIVERY CENTER, WE PULLED FROM THE NATURAL SURROUNDINGS IN ARIZONA. IN DESIGNING THE SCOTTSDALE LABOR AND DELIVERY CENTER OUR MAIN FOCUS WAS DESIGNING A SUSTAINABLE HOSPITAL THAT IS A SAFE & HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT FOR NOT JUST OUR PATIENTS BUT OUR STAFF AND THE ENVIRONMENT AS WELL.
The Scottsdale Labor & Delivery Center is inspired by the shapes, colors, and beauty of Antelope Canyon. Throughout the Scottsdale Labor & Delivery Center we incorporated clean lines and curves. We also Included colors such as muted red, orange, and brown, along with pops of green and blue.
Adjacency matrix Bringing a warmer color palette with pops of cool colors gives a more relaxing and welcoming feel perfect for a healthcare space. Coupling the different hues, values and textures together creates a space that gives off a sense of harmony and unity,

In total we have collected 92 credits, earning us the Platinum certification.
Studies show that Healthcare facilities that apply the principles of bibliophile design. How Bibliophile design improves the healthcare environment. Affecting patient’s outcomes reduces staff stress. And making the spaces a more comforting environmentalism the outdoors in can create a sense of serenity and relaxation while also making the space feel safe. By incorporating visual connection to nature, sound or other non-visuals, thermal control & airflow, Presence of water, patterns that exist in nature, and finally having prospect or view over a distance throughout the space in existing architecture. In addition to the impact bibliophile design has on patients, it also creates a nice workplace environment for staff.

The yoga center is open to Patients and staff who need to destress and unwind .As we take a look around the space we feel a sense of serenity blanketing the room as it fills us with the feeling of relaxation .It’s known throughout the medical field

As a solution for the large windows in most of the spaces it was decided to pick smart windows with solar panels embedded in them. The windows selected automatically tint giving off maxi mine shade powered by the sun also having glare protection in them as well .
As you take a look at the space in front of us we took into consideration that as the hospital helps with bringing a child into this world with all the joy laughter echoing through the halls . There Is another side to child birth sometimes not as kind . And that is a loss of a child…. This room is specific to giving the family a private space for that. As we discussed this topic we wanted to give the family’s the respect they deserve. A place to go where they can process their grief and not have the thought of someone else having a child be thrown in their face.

The concept behind the Walt Disney office design is to create a space that reflects on not just the company but Chicago bringing Chicago and Disney together. Pulling from lake Michigan and the skyline during a sunrise. Before it was a city, it was the home to numerous indigenous peoples,a legacy which continues to frame our relationship with the city, the land, and the environment.

A sunrise is a symbol of birth / rebirth, of awakening. Chicago symbolized the same rebirth and awakening .The coming of light, resurrection.As disney believes in magic and Community chicago is all about community .Focusing on organic and architecture pulling the color pallete from the sunrise and water and disney magic .
Keeping the concept in mind designing the space it was decided to keep it bright bringing in cool colors to brighten up the space as well as having warm colors to balance everything out. Creating a welcoming and unquie space which the disney corporation and citizens of Chicago can call home.

Jillissa moorman and her family wanted a Fresh start and decided to move to springField township located in Iowa with a population of 295. One of the best places to Live in Iowa . The moorman family’s sense of style is Modern farmhouse with a splash of mid-century modern.
Modern farm house style combines the sleek Clean lines of contemporary design with the Cozy farmhouse aesthetic to create a unique Fresh take on the country living inspired Style. Known for its warmth and simplistic , Characterized by natural textures and materials like wood or galvanized steel. Architecture, furniture, and graphic design From the middle of the 20th century
When Designing this home we decided to bring in some muted , warm colors. While keeping the concept and aesthetic in mind playing with different patterns, textures, and colors also keeping the clients requests in mind intern resulting in a home that is the perfect fit for this family of five.
