Preliminary Design

Scottsdale, Arizona is located in the eastern part of Maricopa County in the Greater Phoenix area. It was founded in 1894 and named after a retired U.S. army chaplain named Winfield Schott. In 1951, Scottsdale’s population was made up of a mere 2,000 people. Today they have more than 265,000. Scottsdale is known for their resorts, spa’s, expensive restaurants, shopping, art galleries, golf courses and so much more.

Inspiration Images
The Scottsdale Labor & Delivery Center is inspired by the shapes, colors, and beauty of Antelope Canyon. Antelope Canyon, while referred to as one canyon, is actually split into two, upper and lower. It was created by the flash flooding and rain that happens in the northern parts of Arizona. Throughout the Scottsdale Labor & Delivery Center we incorporated clean lines and curves. We also included colors such as muted red, orange, and brown, along with pops of green and blue.
