From the Artistic Director, Rick Fortney -- Welcome to The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig! -I would like to thank our staff, production team and cast for their dedication, time and talent. Parents, thank you for entrusting us with your children/youth...it’s been fun as we have brought this story tolife, and growing within our community and as performers! I’d like to give a special shout-out to our Stage Manager Shaun O’Neill. Shaun has done a great job keeping all of us informed and has been a fantastic teammate to Ben, Kristy and the cast. Many of you may remember Shaun from last year’s Summer Theatre Camp. Shaun is currently on staff with Great Lake Theater’s education department. Ben Malkevitch, our music director, is back in town from after living in San Francisco for the past five years. Ben has his Master Degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, and possesses a wealth of music, and musical theatre, knowledge. He last appeared at TrueNorth as our music director for The Last Five Years. Ben is also currently serving as our accompanist with the TrueNorth Chorale – it is a joy having him back! Finally I would like to thank Kristy McNally, our director! Kristy has been a good friend and colleague for many a year, we are so excited to finally have her directing for us. Kristy comes from Great Lakes Theater, and is the proud Mom to Marty. Oops, I forgot … she is married to our Cultural Arts Programmer and Youth Outreach Coordinator, Brian McNally!!!!! We have begun registration for 2016’s Summer Theatre Camp! Overture Camp (preschool thru kindergarten) is entitled Dr. Seuss Goes to Camp, June 13-17, 10:30am – 12pm, closing with a Show and Tell for family and friends. Spotlight Camp (grades 1 thru 5) is entitled A Space Odyssey, and runs June 20 - July 1, 10am – 12pm; it too closes with a Show and Tell on the last day. Center Stage Camp (grades 6 thru 12) begins July 11 and runs through August 15. It is a

5-week camp running daily, 10:00am – 3:00pm. It closes with a fulllength musical, August 12-14, performing Bye Bye Birdie! Godspell will be performed as part of our MainStage Series in the TrueNorth Theatre, February 26 thru March 13 – great for the entire family! On this stage in April we will be performing Falling. We recommend ages 12 and up to experience this play as it deals with the very serious subject matter of autism. The TrueNorth Big Band is featured monthly at the Big Band Brunch located at the new Emerald Event Center, just west of Avon’s Cleveland Clinic on Lear/Nagel and Just Imagine Drive. February 28th will feature a Mardi Gras Theme, and March 27th will be an Easter Brunch. TrueNorth Cultural Arts continues to educate, equip and empower artists and audiences, and we are grateful for each new opportunity to serve. All of the growth we have experienced is made possible through your generous financial support. We thank you sincerely and applaud your shared commitment to the arts. Please consider supporting TrueNorth through a tax deductible gift, enclosed you will find a Patron Envelope for the 2015-16 season. Thank you for your support as together we celebrate the arts! Enjoy the Show!!!

Director’s Note Growing up, I remember (as I am sure many of you do) being told stories. Some were stories of kingdoms far away and some more domestic: of little spiders, porridge, and talking bear families. I remember loving to hear the trials and triumphs of the protagonists in these stories, always cheering for the “Good Guys.” Now that I am grown and look back on some of those fond childhood tales, it seems there wasn’t always “Good Guys” or “Bad Guys” – maybe just “Misunderstood Guys.” After all, if I were one of the three bears and Goldilocks came into my house uninvited for a snack, I might have been less than enthused and have shown a not-so-nice side of myself to scare her away. Or, if I were Little Miss Muffet eating my curds and whey, I might have simply stayed seated when the spider took residence next to me. Spiders do play a lovely and important role in our ecosystem. This practice of seeing things from a different perspective is common as one looks at their experiences in retrospect. In this show, a well-known story is spun in a slightly different light, and it aims to teach us that in life you can’t always judge a book (or a Pig) by its cover. I ask that as you sit back and enjoy the this story through the eyes of some famous – and some new and quirky – characters, that you take a moment to remember a time when you saw someone or something in a new light and it changed your perspective forever. And now, on with the Story of Puff, Rip, and Rory!
