About me

Hi there!

My name is Stela, and I have a fervent passion for all things Art and Design.

I have a background in economics and business, and experience in a cooperation with the creative idustry.

As a natural observer, I have an eye for detail, style and aesthetic and draw my inspiration from what intuitively sets my heart on fire.

I am constantly exploring new forms of self-expression through different mediums to improve and evolve my creative ability.

My attitude towards my work is that of dedication, excitement and an eagerness to continually learn and grow. I am a very sociable, adaptable person and can communicate clearly with ease in different settings with all types of people.

I am currently looking forward to many new opportunities; in order to further develop both personally and professionally my design skills.

Experience

I have worked on a marketing campaigns in a travel & leasure, hospitality, event industry, that included communication and promotion of a different brand’s, products and services in a visually appealing way. I have helped create materials needed to adherecompany’s visual identity, promote brand consistency, build trust and loyalty with consumers, and further brand awareness and differentiation.

“ dream and you shall become ”

For the book cover project, I was supposed to create one and name it “Dream”. Inspiration came from a moodboard “Summer Romance”, pastel colour pallete the same one I used to design this portfolio. Story inspiration came from many authentic situations and conversations, emagination, and my Selfimprovement life-long process. In this process I came across one internationally renowned author, speakern and pioneer in the field of self-development, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer who I resonate with. For the background of the book I’ve used my own

photography of a interesting sky phenomena I took with from my phone and added to it a photo of the woman in a night dress, levitating over the bed floating in the open sea - as an emphasis on how this dream migh look like. To define the idea, I went with typo in a style of a writing machine, to point out on importance of writing down our dreams and whitnessing how our thoughts aligne with them. By aligning our inner creative energy, our thoughts, so that they match up perfectly with our desires.

Idea for this signature perfume came from a moodboard Winter Romance in wich wolf and a woman moonbath. I did some colour corrections in the photography and applied a red dust brush effect in the background to emphasize mysticism and sensuality of intense scents of eternal rose bloom in red nuances.

CYCLICAL NATURE OF LIFE

PERFECT MEDITATIVE ELEGANCE INNER PEACE

This project is about a logo design for a spa company “Belvia”. I started the project researching other wellness & spa studios in order to get an overall image about logo designs, positioning and trends in the wellness industry. The logo alone comes in a shape of a circle also known as Enso. Also called Zen Circle, it is often drawn with a fluid elegance, inspiring a sense of peace and wholeness. Though circles are simple shapes, the Zen Circle conveys some of Zen Buddhism’s more evasive concepts: enlightenment, emptiness, and the beauty of imperfection. Perfectly resonating with the human existence and needs he might have from a wellness industry.

The Zen Circle is executed in a single, effortless brushstroke, often in a moment when the mind is totally free from inhibition. I went with black and white colour, where kind of minimalism is already enforced from the start. Logo’s are much more simpler in a monochromatic color scheme. Other colours used are #07763d and #A7A9AC

By the end I did not want to get stuck in a simplicity of a monocromatic colour sceme, and went for a logo with a simple GREEN DOT in the [i ] Green color is a stress-reducing shade, representsing peace and rest and security. The shape of a dot came as inspiration from dots seen as revealing user’s status on social networks. Belvia spa is a force of various therapies that “give a green light” to the body and mind to relax and release built-up stress and tension.

Down to Earth

Est’d 1972

As one of the longest established health food stores in Dublin, I decided to redesign the look of one of my favourite places in town. I gave the old brand a a RE:touch by redesigning the logotype and expanding the already excellent asortiment full of quality supplements, vitamins, natural and organic food and oils for aromatherapy, natural animal cruelty free and environmentally friendly cosmetics and other

products , on a merch such as t-shirts and a tote bags. Logo with a hint of fresh yellow, green, brown spices, all in balance, as it was made by mother nature.

Circle Shape of a logo can portray many values and feelings. Circles are associated with femininity, Inner part of a logo can be seen as rebirth process; a flower or a human grounded soaking the sun rays that mean life.
