編舞的話 - 李思颺

這是⼀個關於擴展與轉化的 驗、遊戲、與內在戰爭。

不停地做決定,不停地要有新想法,拆解了⼀個卡位,興奮了不夠 ⼀會兒,另⼀些難題⾺上出現。在排練室⽤左腦,回家⽤右腦;不 夠到位的東⻄重做幾次,直到作品變成我們喜歡的様⼦。

感謝每⼀位獨舞員的耐性與毅⼒,並以最開放的⼼態跟我相處。這 個過程對他們的腦袋與⾝體⽽⾔都是⼤挑戰,感謝他們願意被我拆 開再找⽅法合番埋( sorry 呢幾個字⼀定要⽤廣東話),希望觀眾都 會看⾒並欣賞他們的努⼒及轉化。

忠於⾃⼰的動機,强化頭腦與⼼的信念。⽤獨⼀無⼆的⾝體,忠 ⽽無畏地玩⾃⼰的遊戲。

Notes from Choreographer Justyne LI

This project is an experimentation, a game and an internal struggle. It is all about expansion, extension and transformation.

Making decisions non-stop, keeping offering fresh ideas. I experienced short-term excitement after smoothening some blockages as more challenges kept coming. Using the left brain inside the studio, using the right brain when I continue to work at home. Repeat, repeat and repeat…… we polish the imperfections until we like it as it is now.

My sincere thanks to all soloists for their patience and endurance. Thanks for collaborating together with a free and open mind. This has been a great challenge to both their brains and their bodies. I appreciate their willingness to be dissected by me for an alternative reconstruction. I hope audiences share the same appreciation and love their effort and transformation.

Staying true to the original intention and strengthening the faith in both the brain and the heart, we are being courageous and playing our own games genuinely with our unique bodies.

獨舞者的話 - 余巧兒

獨舞並不是⼀個完結,⽽是開始。

能夠參與及成為是次創作其中⼀位獨舞者,我感到很榮幸,縱然因 疫情⽽延期,但創作過程並沒有因此⽽中斷。舞蹈應是⼀直不斷尋 找的過程,⽽獨舞更甚是。

在尋找過程⼜像是了解⾃⼰更多,或是在剖析⾃⼰,「我作為表演 者可以做到什麼?我可以去到幾盡?我聯想到什麼?動作對我來說 是什麼?」問題不⼀定需要答案,需要的是在過程中傾盡所有,挑 戰⾃⼰,這才是獨舞有價值的地⽅。

Notes from Soloist Carmen YU

This solo is not an end but a beginning.

I feel the great honor to participate as one of the soloists. Even though being rescheduled with the pandemic, the creation process has been extended throughout. Dance should always be an ongoing process of research, especially dance solos.

During the creative process, I understand myself better and I analyze myself further. “As a performer, what can I do? What is my maximum? What are my associations? What does movement mean to me?” I am not expecting a definite answer. The precious value of a dance solo is that I dedicate my all for the challenges.

今次的作品除了挑戰我的⾝體,亦開發了更多潛能。編舞同我⽤了 好多時間去探索⾝體的可能性,研究過後,需要組織再跳出來的時 候,⾝體最⼤的挑戰就是要做到亂中有序,要有意識地無意識的 跳。Justyne好巧妙的⽤了不同的⽅法和我⼀起解構同研究,引導我 去完成今次的作品。好感謝Justyne邀請我⼀同創作今次的演出,我 過程中獲益良多,亦希望觀眾欣賞完會有所得着的離開。

Notes from Soloist Sam YUEN

This solo challenges my physicality and opens me up to more potential. Choreographer and I spent a great deal of time exploring multiple possibilities of the body. It has been the greatest challenge to consciously show my body dancing unconsciously, orderly in chaos after all the experimentations. Justyne facilitated our co-creation with a variety of methods. I really appreciate being invited to the project. I had a fruitful journey. I wish audiences will leave the theatre with some insights.

李思颺 編舞

李思颺 畢業於香港演藝學院舞蹈學院,曾任香港芭蕾舞團及奧地利 格拉茲舞蹈團成員,及巴⾺海港舞團(德國)獨舞員。於2010年與 王丹琦創辦舞團 Neo Dance HK。現為獨立舞者、編舞及舞蹈教 師。

近作包括:《鹹⿂遊戲》、《快樂頌》(城市當代舞蹈團)、

Biography of the Creative Team

Li Sze Yeung, Justyne Choreographer

A graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts School of Dance, Justyne LI is an independent dancer and choreographer. She previously danced with the Hong Kong Ballet and Tanz Graz (Austria) and was a soloist with Ballett Bremerhaven (Germany) before establishing Neo Dance HK with Wong Tan Ki in 2010.

Her recent choreographies/projects include Salted Fish Game; Ode to Joy (City Contemporary Dance Company); Galatea & Pygmalion (restaging for the West Australian Ballet & the Hong Kong Ballet respectively); Come Rain or Shine (Jumping Frames International Dance Video Festival 2019); The Shift; Soul Casting; Division (CDE Springboard 2017, Yokohama Dance Collection 2019, M1 Contact Festival 2019, the 7th Jerusalem International Choreography Competition, the 34th International Choreographic Competition Hannover).

Her choreographic work Division received first prize at the 7th Jerusalem International Choreography Competition, and her dance film Come Rain or Shine received several awards at the InShadow Festival(Portugal), Light Move Festival(Ireland), and Manifest Dance Film Festival. Other accolades include numerous Hong Kong Dance Awards, like Outstanding Choreography and Outstanding Performance by a Female Dancer for Galatea X and Outstanding Achievement in Independent Dance for Galatea & Pygmalion.

鄺彥璋 獨舞者

鄺彥璋畢業於香港演藝學院,主修當代舞。2019年加入城市當代舞 蹈團,現為舞蹈藝術家。他曾參與由CCDC舞蹈中⼼主辦之現代舞 培訓及演出計劃「彩⾊⻘春」及「舞蹈⻘年」,及後在學院期間深 受歐洲當代舞啟蒙,曾到意⼤利、奧地利、葡萄牙藝術節感受衝 擊。鄺⽒在學期間曾獲得香港特別⾏政區政府獎全額獎學⾦,亦曾 隨校到加拿⼤交流。

曾合作編舞家包括:Laura Aris Alvarez、尹德勳、余載恩、克⾥斯 汀.古澤⾥斯、Iratxe Ansa、Shani Garfinkel、麥麗娜、李咏靜、 桑吉加、林偉源等。鄺⽒熱衷與世界各地不同藝術家合作,並希望 能在香港推廣當代舞。

Eric KWONG Soloist

Eric KWONG graduated in Contemporary Dance from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He joined CCDC in 2019 as a dance artist, having formerly been a participant of CCDC Dance Centre dance training scholarship schemes “Teens of Colour” and “WuDaoQingNian”. Inspired by European contemporary dance, he has attended Italian, Austrian and Portuguese art festivals to experience their influences. He received a HKSAR Government Scholarship and studied in Canada with The HKAPA.

Eric has worked with choreographers such as Laura Aris Alvarez, Jaime Redfern, John Utans, Christine Gouzelis, Iratxe Ansa, Shani

Garfinkel, Leila McMillan, LI Yongjing, SANG Jijia and Allen LAM. Passionate about working with artists from different places, he now hopes to encourage more people to get interested in contemporary dance in Hong Kong.

劉柏康 獨舞者

劉柏康是⼀名⾃由舞者,在科隆⾳樂和舞蹈⼤學舞蹈系畢業。他曾 與不同藝術家和團體合作包括 TS Crew 、多空間、

Dance and Theatre、東邊舞蹈團、新約舞流、誇啦啦藝術集匯、 Make a Move Collective 、 MichaelDouglas Collective 及 Kammeroper Köln。

他曾以合唱歌⼿⾝份參與香港歌劇院及香港管弦學團的合唱和歌劇 製作。他亦曾在香港⼩童群益會及新⽣會擔任導師。劉柏康是會計 師,POLESTAR® Pilates Mattress教練並擁有物理學學⼠和碩⼠學 位。

LAU Pak-hong Soloist

LAU Pak-hong is a freelance dance artist graduated from the Cologne University of Music and Dance majoring in contemporary dance. He collaborated with different artists and ensembles including TS Crew, Y-Space, Folded Paper Dance and Theatre, ESide Dance Company, Passoverdance, The Absolutely Fabulous Theatre Connection, Make a Move Collective, MichaelDouglas Collective and Kammeroper Köln.

He participated as a chorus member in productions with Opera Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. He also taught in organizations including Boys’ and Girls’ Club Association and New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association to share his movement philosophy and somatic practices. He is an accountant, a certified POLESTAR® Pilates Mattress trainer and holds a bachelor and master degree in Physics.

曾詠暉 獨舞者

曾詠暉畢業於香港中⽂⼤學建築系。2021年獲得香港賽⾺會⾳樂及

舞蹈信托基⾦全額資助,現就讀於香港演藝學院研究⽣課程⼆年 級,主修編舞。她⾃六歲起習舞,現為⾃由⾝編舞及舞者,⼀直活 躍於街舞及當代舞,近年積極參與劇場創作演出。

2019年她於康⽂署主辦及香港舞蹈聯盟製作「舞蹈新鮮⼈」系列中 發表⾸個個⼈作品《合⼗》。其他個⼈創作包括《 Stretch 》 (2022) 、《第⼗⼀條》 (2019) 。去年曾獲邀於⻄九⽂化區「舞・樂 互碰2022」編舞及演出。其他近年參與演出包括2022年城市當代舞 蹈團譚之卓編舞的《加速次元》,2021年香港藝術節中馮樂恆編舞 的《在不明確的世界中尋找意義》,另外分別於2018及2019年參與 邱加希編舞的⼤館《 198491 牆後的赤裸信息》的《圄》及

《I.I.I》。街舞比賽⽅⾯,曾獲冠軍獎項包括2017年JBS Open side 4 on 4,2015年的Endless Rolling Funk style 1 on 1,Dancing King Funk Style 2 on 2,和The Queen 2 on 2等。

她希望建立屬於⾃⼰的舞蹈詞彙,以舞蹈創作回應動盪不安的時 代。

TSANG Wing-fai Soloist

TSANG Wing-fai has been dancing since the age of 6. After graduating from Architectural Studies at CUHK, she has been a freelance dancer and choreographer, from street dance to different theater performances in recent years. She received a full scholarship from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund in 2021 and is currently studying MFA in Dance, specializing in choreography at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

She staged her first personal work Infiltrated in the “New Force in Motion” Series presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and produced by Hong Kong Dance Alliance in 2019, and choreographed solo pieces The 11th, Stretch in 2019 and 2022 respectively. She also participated in the “Choreographer and Composer Lab” from West Kowloon in 2022. Other than choreography, she was also involved in different performances, such as Accelerating Dimension by Zelia TAN from CCDC in 2022, Finding Meaning in an Uncertain World by Victor FUNG in 2021, and Confine and I.I.I by KT YAU in 2018 and 2019 respectively. She was also awarded champions in street dance battles, such as “JBS Open side 4 on 4” in 2017, “Endless Rolling Funk style 1 on 1”, “Dancing King Funk Style 2 on 2”, and “The Queen 2 on 2” in 2015.

She wishes to reorganize and build up her uniqueness in creation with her diversified dance background to respond to the shaken values and uncertain world.

袁澤森2021年畢業於香港演藝學院,主修現代舞。畢業後曾與不同 的藝術團體合作包括:東邊舞蹈團、動藝、TS Crew等。2021年發 表個⼈編舞作品《無氧份》。

他亦涉獵不同的藝術範疇包括雜耍、氣球佈置、攝影和戲劇等。 2022⾄今他⼯作於香港⾺戲團,為⾒習舞蹈員。

Sam YUEN Soloist

Sam YUEN graduated with a major in Contemporary Dance from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2021. Upon graduation, he collaborated with multiple dance companies including E-Side Dance Company, DanceArt and TS Crew. In 2021 he debuted the first solo I Can’t Breathe.

Sam practices a variety of artforms including juggling, balloon twisting and decoration, photography and drama etc. Since 2022, he has worked as an intern dancer in Hong Kong Circus.

袁澤森 獨舞者

丘善⾏ 獨舞者

⽣於香港,⼀級榮譽畢業於香港演藝學院舞蹈學院,主修當代舞。 他曾獲取「香港賽⾺會獎學⾦」及「⻘年精英舞蹈課程獎學⾦」及 代表學院到法國演出及交流;亦曾到不同國家深造。他曾參與城市 當代舞蹈團獎學⾦培訓計劃「 612 未來舞⼠」、「彩⾊⻘春」及 「舞蹈⻘年」,2020年畢業後正式加入市當代舞蹈團。在團期間曾 參與多個編舞的作品,包括:黎海 、⾦在德、伍宇烈、桑吉加、 李思颺等。他亦在近期發表編舞創作 : “When we talk about dance…”及與李思颺合作的《頹》-《癈》舞蹈錄像。

Simpson YAU Soloist

Born in Hong Kong, Simpson YAU graduated with First-class Honors from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in contemporary dance. He was the recipient of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship and The Gifted Young Dancer Programme scholarship and represented the Academy to perform in France. Also, he was a member of CCDC’s Dance Training Scholarship Scheme “612 mini dancers”, “Teens of Colors” and “WuDaoQingNian”. He officially joined City Contemporary Dance Company after graduating in 2020. He has performed different works by renowned choreographers Helen LAI, KIM Jaeduk, Yuri NG, SANG Jijia, Justyne LI, etc. His recent choreographic work includes When we talk about dance… and the video Decomposer – Valueless in cooperation with Justyne LI.

Carmen YU Soloist

Carmen YU is a freelance dance artist who graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a degree in Contemporary Dance. Bie LAI Wing-shan Lighting Designer

Bie LAI Wing-shan participated in different art festivals including Hong Kong Dance Exchange 2022, TPAM 2020, Edinburgh

Festival Fringe 2019, Supercell 2019: Festival of Contemporary Dance Brisbane, Gothenburg Fringe Festival 2018, Stockholm Fringe Festival 2018 and Weiwuying Taiwan Dance Platform 2018.

She holds a BFA in Lighting Design From The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She has designed for dance and theatre. Her theatre work includes Six Mouths (Unlock Dancing Plaza), Reverie. 《分割》獲得第七屆耶路撒冷國際編舞比賽第⼀名;《Galatea and Pygmalion 》及《 Galatea X 》分別於 2011 年及 2014 年獲得年香港 舞蹈年獎最值得表揚獨立舞蹈制作及最值得表揚編舞。 2012 年 IDO 踢躂舞世界錦標賽中獲得男⼦獨舞第三名。2015年獲得香港藝術發 展獎 - 藝術新秀獎。錄像作品《其 落雨⼜有乜好怕喎/Come Rain Or Shine》於Manifest Dance-film Featival 2022中獲得最佳攝影獎 及最佳影⽚獎。

WONG Tan-ki Music Designer, Promotional Video

WONG Tan-ki currently works as a freelance dancer, teacher, choreographer and multimedia designer. His creation Division was awarded the 1st prize at the 7th Jerusalem International Choreography Competition. His other creation Galatea & Pygmalion received Hong Kong Dance Award for Outstanding Achievement in independent Dance in 2011 and Galatea X received the Outstanding Choreography in 2014. Wong himself had received the Award for Young Artist at The Hong Kong Arts Development Awards in 2015. He also got the 3rd place of male solo in IDO World Tap Dance World Championships 2012. His video work Come Rain Or Shine received the Outstanding Cinematography Award & Outstanding Film Award in Manifest Dance-film Festival 2022.

趙婉妏 服裝設計

趙婉妏畢業於香港演藝學院舞台及製作藝術學院,獲學⼠ ( 榮譽 ) 學 位,主修佈景及服裝設計。

曾參與佈景及服裝設計作品包括:香港話劇團《中女 7 號》、香港 演藝學院《天真與世故之歌》、香港舞蹈團⼋樓平台 《境Jing》、 ⾳樂劇作 《Come Out!形體 · 卡巴萊》、第⼗屆華⽂戲劇節《⾺ 克⽩》(佈景設計)等。

Tracy GIU Costume Designer

Tracy GIU graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) Degree in Theatre and Entertainment Arts from The Hong Kong Academy For Performing Arts.

Tracy is currently a freelance designer, specializing in theatre set and costume design, as well as costume design and styling for film production.

徐偉康 (⼤寶) 舞台監督

先後畢業於香港城市⼤學⽇本應⽤研究副學⼠學位課程以及香港演 藝學院藝術、項⽬及舞台管理系學⼠學位課程。早年曾於香港海洋 公園擔任全職演員並參與各種不同類型雜技製作。演藝學院畢業 後,現在除了以劇場⾃由⼯作者⾝份活躍於各種幕後⼯作及幕前演 出外,並發展射箭藝術,更考獲本地認可⼀級射箭教練資格。從 2010年開始,更專注於探討及學習台灣原住⺠部落⽂化,並於當地 進⾏各類藝術創作。

TSUI Wai-hong Voyu Stage Manager

TSUI Wai-hong Voyu graduated from the Applied Japanese Studies in associate degree of City University of Hong Kong and the Arts, Event and Stage Management in Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre and Entertainment Arts of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. After graduating he was a full time performer in Ocean Park Hong Kong and now he is a freelance working backstage and performing and recently, he started developing archery arts. Moreover, his art group “Daai Bou Zaap Gei Tyun” keeps visiting and studying Taiwan tribes and starts doing community arts in that region since 2010.

吳嘉雯畢業於香港演藝學院,獲頒藝術學⼠(榮譽),主修藝術、 項⽬及舞台管理。在學期間曾參與製作包括﹕《⽩⾊極樂商場漫 遊》、《⽺泉鄉》、《電⼦城巿》、《⼈間煙火》。畢業後與不同 劇團合作,包括⼀路⻘空、⼤細路劇團、香港話劇團、中英劇團、 愛麗絲劇場 驗室、7A班戲劇組及前進進戲劇⼯作坊,劇場以外, 亦參與過不同類型項⽬製作,現為⾃由⾝劇場⼯作者。

NG Ka-man Deputy Stage Manager

NG Ka-man graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) Degree in Theatre and Entertainment Arts from The Hong Kong Academy For Performing Arts, majoring in Stage & Event Management. She participated in A Hong Kong Shopping Mall Odyssey, Fuente Ovejuna, Electronic City and The Happiest Day I Lost during school. Upon graduation, she worked with The Radiant Theatre, Jumbo Kids Theatre, Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Chung Ying Theatre Company, Alice Theatre Laboratory, Class 7A Drama Group Limited and On and On Theatre Workshop. She participated in a variety of productions apart from drama. She is currently a freelance theatre practitioner.

畢業於香港⼤學藝術學系,哲學碩⼠論⽂發表關於香港九⼗年代當 代舞發展歷史的研究。⾃2006年起積極參與舞蹈創作策劃,曾任職 城市當代舞蹈團,協調 CCDC 舞蹈中⼼的成立,亦曾參與舞團教育 及外展、宣傳及推廣的⼯作。與李智偉、何德貞共同推⾏的香港藝 術發展局多項計劃《六翻⾃⼰》,與六位舞蹈家張學良、許俊傑、 郭曉靈、梁芷茵、⿈靜婷及王丹琦合作,計劃獲香港舞蹈聯盟頒發 2011 年舞蹈年獎(最值得表揚舞蹈教育、社區舞蹈、學術及服 務)。

曾任香港兆基創意書院署任校長、康樂及⽂化事務署舞蹈及跨媒體 藝術⼩組委員,2017年獲香港⺠政事務局局長嘉許計劃推動⽂化藝

LAU Tin-ming Producer

LAU Tin-ming graduated from the University of Hong Kong majoring in Fine Arts and Comparative Literature. His master thesis focused on the development of Contemporary Dance in Hong Kong in 1990s. Since 2006, he has been very active in the local arts and culture ecosystem, taking part as curator, choreographer and advisor of dance-related projects and arts education. His curated project Positioning received Hong Kong Dance Award 2011 in the environmental and educational category. From 2013 to 2018, he was a member of LCSD Art Form Panel (Dance and Multi-Arts).

Tin-ming has been a teacher, Vice Principal and then Principal of the HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity (HKSC) from 2006 to 2018. His contributions in the arts and education was recognized in the Secretary for Home Affairs Commendation Scheme in 2017.
