Notes from Soloist Carmen YU

This solo is not an end but a beginning.

I feel the great honor to participate as one of the soloists. Even though being rescheduled with the pandemic, the creation process has been extended throughout. Dance should always be an ongoing process of research, especially dance solos.

During the creative process, I understand myself better and I analyze myself further. “As a performer, what can I do? What is my maximum? Ｗhat are my associations? What does movement mean to me?” I am not expecting a definite answer. The precious value of a dance solo is that I dedicate my all for the challenges.
