HAIR/HYGIENE Combs and picks in the hair are not allowed. Each student must maintain desirable personal hygiene so as not to be offensive to others. HEAD COVERINGS
Students may not wear hats, bandanas, scarves, sweatbands, stockings, hoods, do-rags, skullcaps, etc. Combs, picks, curlers, and rollers in the hair are not allowed. Clothing Clothing and accessories that display the names or advertisements of drugs, alcohol or tobacco products, profanity, vulgarity, violence, illegalities, immoralities, hate messages, or sexual innuendos are prohibited. Students who have a question about the appropriateness of their clothing should consult a teacher or building administrator. Clothing that resembles sleepwear is not permissible. Students attending school-related events or field trips must adhere to the dress code or club organization requirements. • No clothing with writing, numbers, designs, emblems, symbols or insignias of any kind except for one brand name logo which is smaller than 1½” in diameter. • Grilles (grillz) are prohibited at school • No pajama pants (except on special days designated by the administration, i.e., Spirit Day) • No object or clothing that displays or implies profane, vulgar, obscene language/gestures or illegal activities. • No object or clothing that promotes “hate” groups, violence, racism or illegal activity • No hats or head covering • No sunglasses • No trench coats • No high heels or wedged heels • No bedroom shoes, flip flops or bare feet • No Heelys (sneakers with wheels), or skates • No sweatpants • No biker shorts, no Spandex or lycra garments as the only article of clothing. SCHOOL SPONSORED CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES School sponsored clubs (excluding competitive interscholastic activities or events) are those under the sponsorship, direction and control of the school that organize and meet for common goals, objectives, and purposes. State law requires that parents have the right to withhold permission for their students to participate in any school sponsored club or organization designated by them. The following school sponsored clubs will be in operation during this school year.
