Welcome to our First Newsletter for 2018

provides support and mentoring for our Year 9 students and provides an opportunity for senior students to develop and grow in leadership skills. The leaders are assigned to a Year 9 Group Class which they run activities in at least twice a week. This means, our teams at your school will respond to local, school community customer demands by tweaking, adding or subtracting items and/or ingredients to suit.

Thank you for your support with BYOD. As you are aware Matamata College is a BYOD school. We would like to thank students and parents for their support in helping achieve the BOT’s 2017 goal to become fully BYOD. The uptake of students bringing their personal devices to use to enhance their learning has been impressive.

A major goal for teaching staff is to further embrace and embed future focused thinking and use of technology to enhance teaching, learning and ultimately student engagement and achievement.

Over the last few months we have changed our Technology Support provider and we thank you for your patience while some technical issues associated with this changeover are sorted. A reminder that to help ensure every student has access to computers, we have a number of desktop computers located in each classroom for students to use. There is also a small bank of notebooks based in the Library which can be loaned out at no cost.

School Fees 2018

Your students 2018 school fees can be seen when you access the Matamata College Kamar parent portal. Payments can be made by direct credit or at student reception. Please note: if your student decides to make changes to his/her subjects, this may affect their fees also. Please let us know if there are any concerns.
