Building may often be seen as a man’s domain but not in Kylie Bosanac’s world. This vivacious go-getter has been an energetic force at Bosanac Builders since she and husband, Nick, launched the local based business 12 years ago. And, Kylie’s no back room pen-pusher. She is at the forefront of the dual company – Heritage Homes being the new addition – her eye for design and keen awareness of client expectations helping to ensure first class service, wise advice and a quality product. “I don’t wield a hammer but when it comes to design and interiors I love to nail it!”

There’s not much Maree Kay doesn’t know about lingerie. More than 60 years in the industry makes her an expert but more so, it is her compassion and personal understanding of women who need a prosthesis after undergoing breast cancer surgery which make her exceptional. Maree’s Papakura store – Maree Louise Underfashions – specialises in underwear, particularly prostheses for those who have undergone a mastectomy. Having undergone a mastectomy herself, Maree’s expert fittings, gentle hands and kindness have endeared her to thousands of women. “I think about retiring but who would take over?” she asks, “It is so rewarding to give my ‘special’ clients a renewed sense of self-confidence and worth.”

RHIAN WRIGHT Wrights Jewellers | 149 King St, Pukekohe | Ph 09 238 6481 www.wrightsjewellers.co.nz Royals may own fabulous jewellery but Rhian Wright has beautiful stones at her disposal every day. The fourth generation owner of Wrights Jewellers, Pukekohe, she studied business and design and today carries on her family’s legacy through watchmaking and jewellery manufacturing in store. Focused on nurturing the deep roots Wrights Jewellers has within the community, Rhian says every precious stone has its admirers. “I love the heart-warming stories I hear from couples buying an engagement ring or who have an heirloom piece which may need remodelling. It’s such a pleasure to show clients the huge range of jewellery options.”

PAULA SCHULTZ Papakura Business Association Suite 6, 182 Great South Rd, Papakura Ph 0210 227 4438 | www.papakura.co.nz The future of Papakura looks extremely bright especially if Paula Schultz has her way. Chairman of the Papakura Business Association and director of the local company behind the Stanley Lofts apartments, Canopius Café, and the upcoming South 83 apartments, Paula’s passion for the township is evident in her strong support of projects to make it the ‘go to’ place to live and work. “The association is working hard on beautification projects, such as colourful planters, it has installed 30 CCTV cameras around our streets and is now seeking ways to encourage building development,” she says. “We see only good things ahead for this revitalised Papakura and its residents.”

AYNSLEY GRAHAM NOW Events | PO Box 394, Waiuku Ph 021 177 1674 | www.nowevents.co.nz If anyone knows how to put on a show it’s Aynsley Graham, director of NOW Events. She’s been a driving force behind the likes of the Chicks and Giggles Women’s Expo, Franklin Home and Lifestyle Expo and part of the organisation team for the Franklin Fight Night charity event. With Pukekohe growing rapidly, she recognises the need to provide vibrant and relevant events to meet the needs of this industrious community. Together with husband, Richard and the NOW Events team, she is focused on future events, including charity and corporate functions – “NOW Events has more exciting events for later this year and early 2020 so, watch this space!” www.southmagazine.co.nz
