After being faced with the reality that her beloved hair salon was closing down, Sarah took matters into her own hands and decided to open her own. Howick Hairways is a uniquely quiet and peaceful salon nestled in the heart of Howick focused on giving people that all-important “me time”. Complete with espresso coffee on arrival, clients are treated like royalty from the minute they step through the doors of the Moore Street salon. “I want people to sit down and feel calm and pampered when they come here, and feel at ease with the fact that their hair is in the capable hands of our amazing stylists,” says Sarah. And the salon truly does make everyone feel at home with a range of unisex hair styling service. The busy mother says owning her own business has always been a goal of hers. “I had always dreamed of owning my own business and when my hair salon was closing down, I decided I wasn’t ready to give up the hairdressers I loved, so I bought a hair salon in Howick and brought two of the stylists with me,” she laughs. She says the timing of it all felt like fate, with a salon that was previously called Harvey on Moore, being put up for sale just as she began her search for the perfect location to turn her dream into a

reality. Sarah deals with the day to day running of the salon and leaves the styling up to Howick Hairways four hair gurus. The salon is ultra modern with top of the line hairdressing equipments and passionate stylists and each client is given the time they deserve. “Trusting a new hair stylist can be a huge leap of faith, so we wanted to create a team and an environment where clients feel listened to and we take the time to understand what they want, what suits their lifestyle and what is going to make them look and feel amazing,” Sarah says. “All of our stylists are extremely talented with years of experience, they have a real passion for what
