This unit will be started up in January and was chosen by the Japanese group, already a leader in the sanitaryware segment in the Far East, with a view to stepping up its activities in the tile sector. Following these latest start-ups, the volumes of large-format porcelain tiles and panels produced worldwide in 2015 using System’s Lamina technology and the GEA press will reach 25 million sq.m. Quest’ultima sarà avviata in gennaio, ed è stata scelta dal gruppo giapponese, già leader nel Far East nel segmento dei sanitari, per puntare ad un salto di qualità anche nel settore delle piastrelle. Con questi ultimi avviamenti, nel 2015 saliranno a 25 milioni mq i volumi prodotti nel mondo con tecnologia System Lamina e pressa GEA, tra lastre e grandi formati in gres porcellanato. Appare con sempre maggiore evidenza la tendenza dell’industria ceramica, in qualunque area geografica, a spostarsi velocemente verso produzioni di lastre ceramiche sempre più grandi, multiformato e a spessore variabile, trend che System intercettò, anticipandolo, con il varo del concept Lamina nel 2000 e la sua prima presentazione a Tecnargilla nel 2002. Ma se la tecnologia di allora consentiva di produrre solo mega lastre a spessore 3-5 mm, oggi, a fare la differenza è l’assoluta flessibilità produttiva che il nuovo processo Gea (sviluppato nel 2012) porta nelle fabbriche.
