We’re working to build the most trusted entertainment platform in the world, and the safety of our community is the foundation that makes this possible. Here’s a glimpse of some of the steps we’ve taken this quarter to create a platform built on safety, privacy and transparency.
Investing in AI transparency and literacy
We joined the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) and became the first video sharing platform to implement a technology that enables us to automatically label AI-generated content made on other platforms. This builds on our existing AI-generated content creator tool as part of our continued efforts to help users safely and responsibly express their creativity with AI-generated content (AIGC).
We’ve introduced a new feed dedicated to discovering science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) content from respected experts. The feed connects our community to specialist content on these subjects, empowering learning, and is continuing to expand across Europe.
Building on our Inventory Filter, we have launched two new controls for brands, facilitating even more choice over the content that appears next to their ads. Advertisers can now use our industryleading Category Exclusion and Vertical Sensitivity tools to add another layer of brand protection.
Joined by TikTok’s CEO Shou Chew, our Youth Council reconvened to continue helping us shape our app to be safe for teenagers by design. The Youth Council brings together teens from around the world, giving them a platform to share their perspectives on safety products and features.
Our localised in-app election centres launched in 27 EU-member states during the EU elections, where we partnered with experts to provide our community with trusted and authoritative information. Find more information about how we protect election integrity here
