LAGUNA

Etimologicamente la laguna deriva dal latino lacus, lago, e assume anche il significato di spazio vuoto (lacuna: mancanza), ma mai come in questo caso il nome non rispecchia il nominato. La laguna è tutt’atrio che spazio vuoto, anzi, è la somma, la compenetrazione di terra e acqua, sale (mare) e dolce, di intrecci e mutazioni quotidiane. La laguna è una cosa viva, che pulsa con le maree. È formata dall’azione contrastante dei fiumi che vi depositano materia e del mare che la erode. In mezzo l’uomo che ha saputo trarre grande vantaggio dalle sue risorse. Tra le foci storiche di Isonzo e Tagliamento si è formata la laguna più settentrionale del Mediterraneo, punto d’incontro di genti e culture dell’Europa, del nord Africa e del vicino Oriente. Un luogo fluido, mitico e magico, dove si intrecciano e confondono tutti i sensi e le emozioni.

Etymologically, the word “lagoon” is derived from the Latin lacus, meaning “lake”, and also takes on the meaning of an empty space (a “lacuna”: a lack of something), but not alway - as this case illustrates - does the name reflect what is named after. The lagoon is certainly much more than an empty space, indeed, it is the sum of things, the interpenetration of land and water, salty (sea) and fresh (water), of intertwining and daily mutations. The lagoon is a living thing, which pulsates with the tides. It is formed by the contrasting action of the rivers that deposit their material there and the sea which erodes it. In the middle stands humankind, which has proved able to take great advantage of its resources. This is the northernmost lagoon of the Mediterranean formed between the historic mouths of rivers Isonzo and Tagliamento, a meeting point for people and cultures from Europe, North Africa and the Near East. This is a fluid, mythical and magical place, where all the senses and emotions intertwine and mix.

Das Wort Lagune leitet sich vom lateinischen lacus (See) und lacuna (leerer Raum, Leere) ab; doch nie war eine Bezeichnung irreführender als in diesem Fall. Lagunen sind alles andere als leerer Raum, sie sind vielmehr der Innbegriff des Zusammenspiels von Land und Wasser – salzig und süß -, von täglich neu entstehenden Vermischungen und Veränderungen. Die Lagune ist ein lebender Organismus, ihr Puls sind die Gezeiten. Die Entstehung von Lagunen ist ebenfalls geprägt von Gegensätzen: das von den Flüssen angeschwemmte und abgelagerte Material wird alsbald vom Meer wieder erodiert und auch der Mensch wusste sich diese Ressourcen sehr gut zunutze machen. Zwischen den historischen Mündungen von Isonzo und Tagliamento entstand die am nördlichsten gelegene Lagune des Mittelmeers, ein Kreuzungspunkt von Völkern und Kulturen aus Europa, Nordafrika und dem Nahen Osten. Ein fließend wandelbarer, mythischer und magischer Ort, wo sich alle Sinne und Empfindungen verflechten und miteinander vermischen.

Mi piace vagare per le strade di una città o di qualsiasi altro luogo alla ricerca dell’opportunità di catturare un singolo momento nel tempo e nello spazio, fattori fondamentali per la buona riuscita di una buona fotografia. Cerco di riempire l’inquadratura con informazioni che rendano forte un’immagine, partendo anche da piccoli dettagli e lo sfondo è importante quanto il primo piano che può definire il senso del luogo. La maggior parte delle volte capacità tecniche e preparazione non danno i risultati attesi anche perché non si sa mai cosa succederà.

Giornalista professionista, ha lavorato a Il Piccolo, al Corriere di Pordenone, al Resto del Carlino e al Gazzettino. Ha fatto stage al Progresso Italoamericano e al Giornale di Montanelli. Collabora con riviste, radio e televisioni. Ha partecipato ai master di fotografia di Italo Zannier, Helmut Newton e Mario Di Biasi (Venezia fotografia 1979). Ha tenuto

una rubrica di ambiente e natura per il Gazzettino, partecipando a progetti internazionali (Life) sui grandi predatori e occupandosi di zooantropologia.

I enjoy wandering the streets of a city or any other place I find myself looking for the opportunity to capture a single moment in time and space, fundamental factors for the success of a good photograph. I try to fill the frame with information that makes an image strong, starting from the smallest details, while the background is as important as the foreground which can define the sense of place. Most of the time technical skills and preparation do not provide the expected results because one never knows what will happen.

È autore di diversi libri di sport e ambiente. Tiene regolarmente conferenze su temi naturalistici. A professional journalist, he worked at Il Piccolo, Corriere di Pordenone, the Resto del Carlino and Il Gazzettino. He did internships at the Progresso Italoamericano and at Indiro Montanelli’s Il Giornale. He collaborates with magazines, radio and television. Auf der Suche nach dem einen Moment in Raum und Zeit, den es für eine gute Fotografie einzufangen gilt, schlendere ich gerne durch die Straßen einer Stadt oder lasse mich an beliebigen anderen Orten einfach treiben. Ich versuche, den Sucher mit Informationen zu füllen, die ein Bild zu einem starken Bild machen; dabei zählt selbst das kleinste Detail und der Hintergrund ist ebenso wichtig wie der Vordergrund, der dem Ort seine Bedeutung verleiht. In den meisten Fällen bringen Ausbildung und technische Fertigkeiten allein nicht das erwartete Ergebnis, auch weil man nie absehen kann, was tatsächlich passieren wird.

Berufsjournalist, der für die Tageszeitungen Il Piccolo, Corriere di Pordenone, Il Resto del Carlino und Il Gazzettino tätig war. Er absolvierte ein Praktikum bei Il Progresso Italo-Americano und bei dem von Montanelli gegründeten Giornale. Zusammenarbeit mit Zeitschriften, Radio und Fernsehen. Teilnahme an den Mastern in Fotografie von Italo Zannier, Helmut Newton und Mario Di Biasi (Venezia `79 - la Fotografia). Er unterhielt die Rubrik Umwelt und Natur für den Gazzettino, nahm hierfür an internationalen Projekten (Life) zu großen Beutegreifern teil und befasste sich mit der Mensch-Tier-Beziehung (Anthrozoologie). Sarcinelli ist Autor mehrerer Bücher zum Thema Sport und Umwelt. Er hält regelmäßig Konferenzen zu naturkundlichen Themen.
