I had never had so much fun in a parade as I did in the Troy Mills Parade. I was told that we could have water balloons and that they normally have a large turnout. Considering that Troy Mills does not have any local government I did not plan on enough balloons for the crowd size. I guess it goes to show that without any government interference how much more can be done. I plan to participate in next years parade but will be armed with much more for the spectators and other parade participants. It’s obvious by where some of the spectators sit that getting wet is to be expected when watching this parade. I could only imagine how many watermelons and other fruit would be smashed along the route if comedian Gallagher were to have a float in the parade! I will stick to air and water balloons, but just think of the sloppy mess those people along the street shoulder would be with watermelons being smashed five feet from them. Any ways, mark your calender for next year to attend the July 4th parade in Troy Mills if you want to enjoy a great parade!
