Monday, April 14
On the way there
● 11:40am subway to Bloor station
On the way back
● 3:20pm dismissed from St. George subway station (students can ride back to York with the teacher if they like)
We will travel to the Bata Shoe Museum,, with particular interest in how artifacts can reflect culture and human lived experience. Students will test the technology needed on Challenge Week, especially the use of camera and sound equipment, as well as interview and collaboration skills with people visiting the museum We will also get to know each other more and build team morale for the trip
Students will have an opportunity to grab lunch before entering the museum (or may choose to pack their own)

Please note that unless you provide adequate notice ahead of the trip indicating that your child cannot attend, you will be charged for the expenses incurred on your child's behalf for this trip
Special Considerations and What to Bring
Sun Protection: Where a trip involves your child being outside between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, or the UV rating is predicted to be 3 or greater, you are required to provide your child with the following: sunscreen, hat and water bottle Sunglasses that protect against UV-A and UV-B rays are also recommended
Students must bring money for lunch or a prepared lunch, and their Presto Card for TTC travel.
Students are asked to bring:
- TTC fare
- Their ICE journal and pen
- A camera or mobile device with camera
- Appropriate footwear for walking
- A nut-free lunch, or money to buy their own
Additional Information and/or Instructions for Students:
Students will be given independent time to take photos at each of the locations as per our Independent Time Protocol They will remain in small groups during this time within restricted boundaries, reviewed together as a group Students and trip leaders will maintain a direct line via mobile devices Students will be dismissed from St George subway station at 3:20 and will have the option of riding with the group back up to Summerhill Station
