This week the Community Garden had two days of ac vi es. Due to the hot weather forecasted for Thursday a ernoon we decided to have an early ‘meet-up’.
Anna was busily working away when Michael & I arrived Between the three of us, tomatoes were harvested, gardens were watered, damaged fruit collected and disposed of, as well as a small amount of weeding
Because we were planning our stall for the Dunolly Country Market, I spent me packaging up seeds while Anna worked on the cupboards Shortly before we were ready to pack up for the morning, Rick arrived, so he died up the edges of the walkway with his trimmer
On Sunday we had our stall at the market! Veronica, Lisa and I looked a er the stall and met so many lovely community members. We very much enjoyed cha ng with everyone and hearing about how they are using the share table to drop off their excess harvests or how they jump at the chance to get some lovely fresh tomatoes, plums etc, these
Op Shop News
To all our local children, please encourage your a er school/ kindergarten carer to come along to the Op Shop We already had a generous number of children’s books, then two more large boxes arrived last week. We will now have to find some more spaces for the children’s books So come along Dunolly and district families and take a wonderful selec on from our book sec on that will stop “The I’m Sooo bored, I’ve got nothing to do” Syndrome in its tracks Help us to help you open up the wonderful horizons which literature can bring to us.

Obviously the Share Table is a ‘give and take’, we need people to share their home harvests, and we love people to take what they need, even if they are unable to gi back to our Share Table. We're very hopeful some of the people we met through the markets will join us on a Thursday in the near future. If we didn't get to meet you, pop down and introduce yourself!

Collectors of lovely china will delight in some of the recent arrivals. Pre y lady figurines in beau ful pastel shades of po ery which would make an a rac ve addi on to a dressing table or china cabinet. The teapot selec on has also received some new dona ons which are in the most tasteful and beau ful shapes.
Plenty of T-shirts are hanging on the crowded racks T-shirts for your spor ng ac vi es, your house pain ng jobs, or fabric pain ng crea ons We also have some lovely skirts for a dressedup look Some of the skirt fabrics are in lovely light co on pa erns, whilst others are neat linen pencil line, for office wear You can spend $3 and look “a million dollars”!
