DIVOTS April 2, 2017 From the Pro Kim Griggs PGA Season Winding Down April is a busy but fun month with the Men’s Member-Guest and also the Men’s and Ladies 9 hole clubs will have their Club Championships throughout the month. Aerifying Greens The greens will be aerified for the first time on May 15 & 16. The back 9 will be closed on Monday and you play the front 9 twice. The front 9 will be closed on Tuesday and you will play the back 9 twice. Range Baskets & Balls I have been noticing that our range basket supply has been getting smaller and that residents are taking range balls (in our baskets) home at night. I ask that you please do not do this as it makes our supply low for those who are actually here on property to use these items.
So often I will give a lesson and I will discover that my student is playing with outdated equipment that does not fit their game. For example, if a lady has a bag full of steel shafted irons and woods, she probably needs to try some Ladies clubs with a graphite shaft. The weight difference is amazing as well as the hitting area. Take advantage of the newest technology as much as possible. This does mean that you have to go out and purchase an expensive set of clubs. I can help you find a very good set of clubs at an inexpensive price. Please come and see me or Tim if you think your equipment is outdated and we will take a look. Tee Box on # 17 It has been brought to my attention that carts have been driving around the side of the tee box on # 17. This is not a cut through for golfers; it is for employee use only. Thank you.
Handicap Flags We provide handicap flags in the golf shop for golfers who need them. Please take the time to check your garages to see if you have accidentally taken our flag home with you. Tee Time Changes Beginning Friday April 1st we will have Tee Times beginning @ 6:30 am – 5:00 pm. Tee Time days are Fri, Sat Sun Mon & Tues Beginning Wednesday May 10th the Men’s Club will have a 7:30 Shotgun to be followed with tee times starting at 9:30- 5:00. Please continue to sign up in the book as always. Beginning Thursday May 11th, the 9 Hole Clubs will have a 7:30 Shotgun (Same side), Tee Times to follow from 8:45- 5:00. May 1 st Please change your sand & seed over to sand on May 1 st. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
