Lots of willing locals participated in the night whilst wearing a purple bra to raise money for a worthy cause. The class was very memorable, featuring a range of dance styles from hip-hop to jazz, and, of course, disco lights. All money raised from tickets and other generous donations made on the night will go directly to Breast Cancer Care WA. Every year Breast Cancer Care WA encourages people to come together as everyday heroes by hosting an event for Purple Bra Day. This year, it is to be held on Friday June 19. One in eight Australian women are diagnosed with breast cancer, so it is no exaggeration that everybody knows somebody affected by the disease. In 2015, many Roleystone locals will be participating in Purple Bra Day to raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer, including Clare Kenward and her Konga Mega class. Clare’s decision to get involved in Purple Bra Day stems from her work with Women’s Health & Wellbeing Services in Gosnells and her love of health and fitness.
