To start, the students had to research into the Royal Opera House, and the history of its marketing. After careful analysis of costume design, marketing layout and successful campaigns, the photographers had to ensure storyboards were made, whilst following the checklist of what was to be included in a successful winners folder.
Throughout the project,
Director’s Visions
were to be followed, in order to claim the correct message for the final outcome of the marketing. These were found helpful in shaping the project and giving the photographers a starting point of where they wanted to take their idea.
When it came to shooting, there was an emphasis on how the first try won’t be their last. The students have undergone various shoots, taking thousands of photos in order to lead up to their final piece which they shall shoot in school. Being back in the studio has, and will, continue to benefit these students, as they can finally see their ideas come to life after months of trying from home. With the College’s exceptional photography suite, both teachers and students are excited to see the final outcome of this long awaited project.
