Camping Carry On
By Mike Wiseman
One of the highlights of the Waltham Chase MCC calendar is the three day Camping Weekend in July, where friends and family join the riders for three days of riding and a social get together at Cadnam near Southampton, on the edge of the New Forest Country Park.

For the reasons we are all so aware of, this year's event has had to be postponed, but fingers crossed, and if legislation changes, we may squeeze a camping weekend in later in the year.
However, having the venue booked, and a willing landowner, the Club has decided to hold three separate practice days at the venue to keep the woodland in use and "trials ready".
It is all too easy to lose the use of land and not so easy to find new venues. The three days of practice will be on the Friday 10th July, Saturday 11th July, and Sunday the 12th July.
The Friday session will be for youth riders only, with plenty of land available, including open fields for our younger members to regain their confidence without the "grownups" getting in the way.
On the Saturday and Sunday, the sessions will be open to youth and adult riders.
These practice sessions are marked out "just like a trial", but with no scoring, and are open to members of the Waltham Chase Club. Full details of the sessions are sent to members along with the Supplementary regs for the event and are also posted on the Waltham Chase MCC Website.
Waltham Chase membership is available at the reduced fee of £10.00 for the rest of 2020 for anyone wanting to join us.
