Temporary 1 year Contract Roll 387 currently but could increase up to 420 from September 2013 Due to the expansion of this already popular city school, judged to be ‘good’ by Ofsted (June 2010), we are looking to appoint two outstanding teachers to join our KS2 department in September 2013. It is likely that the posts will initially be in Y4 and Y5 but applicants should be confident in teaching across the Key Stage. Although experience in KS2 is desirable, both posts are suitable for teachers at any stage of their career. Our ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

Be an inspiring, creative and self motivated teacher with the potential to be outstanding or with proven outstanding teaching ability. Be committed to excellence, inclusion and high expectations. Be a skilled and reflective practitioner, highly effective in planning, teaching and evaluating lessons. Be a reliable team member, able to maintain and engender positive and effective relationships with colleagues, pupils and families. Be dedicated to continuing their own professional development and also supporting that of others. Recognise that all pupils are entitled to make at least good progress, irrespective of their barriers to learning or starting point. Be able and willing to bring a sense of humour, energy and enthusiasm into the school community. Have an ability to support or develop one or more of the following curriculum areas: PE, ICT, MFL, dance, drama or creativity across the curriculum.
