With a reflection of months gone by and my first musings for the newsletter pieces from a land far away, I find myself sitting here in my new office considering the last few weeks and the four words which have meant so much to me and I have imparted to staff ; Communication, Commitment, Care and Consistency. Alongside this comes resilience of course which is a quality which resonates throughout the school. The school has been a hive of activity in this energetic start to the term with various activities and developments. As a school, we continue to commit to address areas of concern and particularly ways in which to enhance your child's learning journey. I would be a foolish Principal to say that we get everything right and I am very much committed to developing our systems and processes to make various procedures more efficient, Consistent and developing our high standards and expectations of ourselves and our pupils to reinforce pride. Communication is a thread which continuously runs through education. From the lessons which we teach, the ethos and knowledge which we deliver, the pastoral understanding we continue to enhance through a variety of methods and increasingly the fine tuning of our relationships beyond the school walls to enrich the learning experience and parental relationships which we appreciate. And so to our final 'C',Care. This is a seemingly easy verb to attach to our school and so often commented on by parents and students. It is after all, the main component which drew me to make the decision to accept and lead our community here. However, Care, runs deeper than a pastoral element. We care for the education we deliver. We care for the content we deliver. We care for the curriculum which we review, analyse and enhance. We care for what our students need to explore and most importantly, we care for our school, the friendships we make and the passion for learning which I am proud of the way in which my colleagues instil every day. Have a wonderful week ahead.

Year 4 and 5 pupils eagerly participated in form time activities this week that revolved around fostering positive and enriching friendships. Through guided activities and discussions with their form tutors, pupils focused on ways to build positive friendships by discovering shared interests and hobbies and sharing of personal experiences. These sessions offered a safe and supportive space for pupils to openly express themselves, allowing their peers to understand their unique background and differences.
