Introduction from The Principal, Nicholas Belcher.

A very warm welcome to academic year 23/24 and welcome home to our new and existing families. The first days of a new term always feel energised and the buzz of what the new term will bring is palpable. I am very much looking forward to engaging with our school community and already I have been amazed by the warmth and welcome which I have received from families, staff and students which I have had the pleasure of meeting. A new term always brings new challenges in international schools and this year is no different as we bid a fond farewell to some existing members and await the arrival of some new ones once the MoM has completed their processes. It is with great pleasure that some of the enhancements we have made over the holidays has increased our PE provision, space and has enabled a spiralised key stage approach to our layout which clearly defines our Primary and Secondary development. As the course of the year progresses, I have no doubt that this distinction will continue to be defined in a variety of ways.

Introduction from The Principal, Nicholas Belcher.
I very much look forward to meeting you at our "Meet the Principal " evening on the 24th August 2023. Of course, this Perse Post has also seen an enhancement and we hope that it is well received and you can see its potential to grow as a consistent channel of communication and most importantly including more of our children’s voice as they return to school.

Regrettably, due to the change in personnel, some procedures and information which you would have expected to receive perhaps at the end of term 3 or during the summer have been delayed and I can assure you that as the team address this in the coming year ,yourselves and your children will find some processes not only more accessible but in receipt of information earlier. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your understanding. This week's staff induction has been very much focused on the excellence of Perse, Singapore and how we continue to build on its successful start and exciting future including priorities in communication. For the students we look forward to welcoming them to the new year, an opportunity to build on existing learning and discover new passions of curricular. For the parents, we welcome you to celebrate our achievements and share in your child's learning journey and be an intrinsic part of our wonderful community.
I wish you all well and seeing you on Monday.

First day back proceedings
Students start entering school from 8am.

All students will take their bags to the dining room and leave on the correct Year group table. They will then be guided to our MPH (The Nest) where they will sit in year groups for the Principal's address. Students will then be supported to their year group classrooms where the class teachers and teaching assistants will be there to guide and orientate them comfortably into the new academic year.
Thank you for your patience and understanding in the delayed communication as a result of change in personnel.
It is important that you receive the correct information as opposed to false information which needs to be changed resulting in confusion.
