In the scorching, yet welcome, heat of summer, whilst lounging lakeside, what’s more refreshing than a tasty, cold drink? Not much, we say. Enjoy these simple-to-make, tried-and-true drink recipes, half for the kiddos and half for adults who wish to indulge a little. Cheers!
Basil-Berry Lemonade 2 bottles (64 oz. each) pre-made pink lemonade 16 ounces fresh berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and/or blackberries) 1 cup fresh basil leaves *makes enough for a happy lake crowd
1. Add berries and basil to the bottom of a large pitcher. Slightly muddle berries and basil to release flavors.
Banana Smoothie 1 cup sliced banana, frozen preferably

2. Add lemonade and stir to combine. Refrigerate 2 hours to allow flavors to mix. 3. Serve over ice. Garnish with additional basil leaf or berries.
¼ cup vanilla Greek yogurt ¼ cup almond milk ¼ teaspoon vanilla A few ice cubes if banana is not frozen *makes one serving
1. Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth, adding more milk if needed to reach desired consistency. Serve immediately. Garnish with additional sliced banana—and whipped cream to make the kiddos smile.
