Editorial and Management Committee

Thank you very sincerely for your ongoing support of The Osprey, The International Journal of Salmon and Steelhead Conservation. Your support enables us to continue our work as an active and influential voice for wild Pacific salmon and steelhead conservation.

Pete Soverel, Chair

Since it was founded in 1987, The Osprey remains the leading science-based journal dedicated to the protection and recovery of wild Pacific salmon and steelhead throughout their range. We keep our readers informed on both the progress and setbacks affecting wild fish, reporting on the many important issues that impact the health and future of wild steelhead and salmon stocks. The Osprey is often the first place to learn about the latest wild fish science.

Mission: The Osprey Journal of International Salmon and Steelhead Conservation is concerned with the conservation & sustainable management of wild Pacific salmon & steelhead throughout their native & introduced ranges.

With the support and guidance of our Editorial and Management partners in the US and British Columbia, we continue to increase The Osprey’s reach and influence. The Osprey has grown to 24 pages with improved print and paper quality in the print edition, and now offers an easily-accessed full color on-line version. Last fall we celebrated the publication of The Osprey’s 100th issue and introduced a new, updated website where you can read and download The Osprey, access and research The Osprey archives, reach out to us with questions and donate electronically. Over the past year, The Osprey has published in-depth stories on the dire situation of wild steelhead on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, recent research showing the vital role of Fraser River Estuary habitat for juvenile salmon and steelhead, the failure of British Columbia’s efforts to close commercial salmon fisheries, a special issue devoted to the effort to remove the four lower Snake River dams — and more. It’s all original content that you won’t find anywhere else, written by experts in wild salmon and steelhead science and conservation. But we can’t continue our work without your support! On behalf of these magnificent fish, please subscribe or donate on-line by credit or debit card at: https://www.ospreysteelhead.org/donate. Contributions to The Osprey are tax deductible. Thank you, Peter Soverel Chair, The Osprey Editorial and Management Committee
