enowned as the most distinctive contemporary residence in the sought-after Jackson Hole in Wyoming, USA, Aspensong rests on 35 private acres. The modest four-bedroom home with six bathrooms is listed at Christie’s International Real Estate for US$18 million (around AUD $23.5 million). The ranch has been designed to bring the outdoors in, with every room situated to take advantage of the awe-inspiring views with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass walls opening to an impressive valley panorama. The central living space creates a central heart, connecting the two wings of the residence. The north wing offers a guest suite, master suite and conservatory, while the west wing features two guest suites and a media room. The separate owner’s level offers an office and library while the master bedroom is complete with his-and-hers bath. The area of the Crescent H Ranch, which Aspensong resides within, includes blue-ribbon fishing, hiking, horse and cross-country ski trails, as well as forest access. Demand continues to grow for property near the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, which is set to open next month. In the past 18 months, the RGD Group has sold 200 waterfront apartments across four projects, all of them adjacent to the new hospital. Their latest projects, Salt at Oceanside and North Shore Oceanside Kawana have sold out prior to completion. Oceanside Property Sales/RGD Group sales and marketing manager Gail Hunter says astute investors are attracted to the area, wanting to secure their future in the largest health precinct currently under construction in the Southern Hemisphere. “Since the hospital opened for training, there has been an influx of enquiries from both local investors and owner occupiers, to interstate and overseas buyers who realise the value and convenience of living within walking distance of the massive health precinct,” she says. “Medical professionals and savvy investors looking for a healthy investment are snapping up the waterfront apartments, realising that the thousands of hospital shift workers will need accommodation close to their work.” Construction of Waterline at Oceanside, at the end of Shine Court, will begin at the end of the month. Waterline has 60 one, two and threebedroom dual key apartments and the demand has reached fever pitch, with all but a couple of apartments sold off the plan. Aquarius at Oceanside, in Bright Place, is also selling fast. Oceanside Management Principal Rob Gowland says these projects are perfectly timed to provide accommodation near the new health precinct. “With vacancy rates on the Sunshine Coast tightening and the region experiencing one of the fastest population growth rates in Australia, we will be heavily supporting the Sunshine Coast University Hospitals with accommodation whilst providing high returns for our investors,” he says.
