HAU-SNAMS scores a 100% passing rate in March 2023 MTLE
by DESIRAE GAMBOA
Holy Angel University marked a 100% passing rate in the recent Medical Technology Licensure Exam (MTLE). The MTLE was held on March 8-9, 2023, and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the results last March 14, 2023. A total of 4,714 out of 6,125 became newly licensed medical technologists, equating to a 76.46% national passing rate Among the roll of successful examinees were 9 Angelite medical technologists, 8 of which are from the Batch Hiraya, and one came from the Batch Elektus.
Ms Michal G Villanueva, one of the successful Angelite board passers, described her experience as a surviving-against-all-odds type of battle “Para kaming makapal na sinulid na walang choice kung hindi dumaan sa sobrang liit na butas ng karayom”, she added As one of the students who first experienced the comprehensive reform of basic education, the K12 program, it surely was a tough journey to Batch Hiraya With the COVID 19 pandemic making things even worse for them in 2019, Villanueva and her batchmates failed to attend face-to-face learning and interaction in their 3rd year and an actual whole school year of clinical internship during their 4th year When asked about her reaction when she heard the news that she passed the board exam, she said that she was really overwhelmed She recalled how waiting for the release of the results was more difficult compared to the actual review process But despite all the waiting, she viewed it with optimism saying, “good things come to those who wait, but greater things come to those who really worked hard for it The stress and agony that we felt during the entire process can’t compare to the joy and bliss that we felt nung nakita naming yung names naming lahat sa listahan”, she shared Villanueva also left a few words of encouragement to future Angelite RMTs saying, “Just enjoy your journey Surely the path to success is not straight. It involves a greater sense of determination and hard work ” She also advised the future Angelite RMTs to take good care of themselves as it is very crucial to proper self-functioning Lastly, she reminds the future Angelite RMTs to never doubt their skills and capabilities “Clap for yourself and be your own cheerleader kasi at the end of the day, kapag magtatake ka na ng board exam, all that you really have is yourself. Kaya never doubt yourself dahil you are more capable than you realize”, she concludes.
