How can you get the best wedding of all? Well, we think we might know how. As a family run venue we understand that weddings aren't just business, they are personal to you and us too, and that is why we have a saying at The Lawrence 'never the same wedding twice'. Now all that is left is to work out how to make your day as unique as you are.

YOURCEREMONY

It doesn't matter if it's at the hotel in our Courtyard Room, or at the band stand in Memorial Park just a 5 minute walk away, we want to help you create a truly memorable start to your day. We always suggest using a Celebrant for your wedding as this gives you flexibility and adds that ultra personal touch. Ceremonies can sometimes feel like a one size fits all option but it really doesn't have to be and we are here to give you tips and ideas to make it stand out, from serving a round of cocktails right before you say 'I do' to having a brass band playing in the park as you leave the bandstand, we really want to add that wow factor to your ceremony.

EVENINGRECEPTION

Get your dancing shoes ready it's your time to shine. All our couples say the same thing about their evenings 'it felt like hiring a really big house for a party', and that is exactly how we like it. Our evening receptions can cater for up to 130 people and when the sun is shining your guests can enjoy the terrace, the patio and our courtyard outdoor areas too.

Enjoy a night of dancing, with great food and drink for the adults and why not make use of the Blue Room for the children and set up a cinema or XBox room to keep them entertained.

OURROOMS

We have 14 bedrooms across the hotel, 1 duplex suite, 2 signature rooms, 2 superior rooms, 2 family rooms and 7 snugs. We have 2 rooms located on the ground floor. We also have a 4 bedroom holiday home next door that sleep nine additional guests, and a 3 bedroom cottage which sleeps 6 additional guests. Why not make it into a 2 day wedding and stay the night before.

All our rooms feature Simba mattresses, Alexas, Netflix TVs and most importantly all are dog friendly. The great thing about having up to 32 of your guests staying over is that the celebrations carry on the next morning when you all come down for a family breakfast before saying your goodbyes.

WEDDING PACKAGES

All our packages include an overnight stay in our Aya duplex suite, postbox, easel x2 , arrival drink, chair sashes, room hire, dedicated wedding planner and master of ceremonies.

TWILIGHT

Twilight weddings are a magical, romantic, unique and affordable way to celebrate your wedding. Twilight weddings are available Sunday to Friday all year round plus Saturdays in November/January/ February. Our Twilight packages include an evening buffet option. Your evening begins at 5.30pm **

TWILIGHT PLUS

Can’t decide between a full day wedding and a Twilight?

This could be the perfect option with an earlier start time of 4.30pm** and a sit down 2 or 3 course meal instead of an evening buffet.

** Earlier start can be arranged for addition charge

FULL DAY

Your Special day starts at around 1pm and after your ceremony your guests can enjoy arrival drinks and canapés* while you take care of the photographs and we turn around the room for your 3 course locally sourced meal followed by tea and coffee. Later on that evening after your first dance/cake cut its on to the evening buffet and dancing.

WEEKENDER

Lets make it extra special and get your nearest and dearest to arrive the night before for a welcome drink and evening buffet or sit down meal, the next day it’s a big family breakfast before your big day.
