As a family run venue we understand that weddings aren't just business, they are personal to you and us too, and that is why we have a saying at The Lawrence 'never the same wedding twice'. YOUR CEREMONY It doesn't matter if it's at the hotel in our Courtyard Room, or at the band stand in Memorial Park just a 5 minute walk away, we want to help you create a truly memorable start to your day. We always suggest using a Celebrant for your wedding as this gives you flexibility and adds that ultra personal touch. Ceremonies can sometimes feel like a one size fits all option but it really doesn't have to be and we are here to give you tips and ideas to make it stand out, from serving a round of cocktails right before you say 'I do' to having a brass band playing in the park as you leave the bandstand, we really want to add that wow factor to your ceremony.

WEDDING BREAKFAST Whether it's an intimate wedding for 15 people or a lively reception for 80, our grade II listed 200 year property has the right space for your day. Planning your wedding is a partnership so let's be creative, we offer food suggestions for your menu but we want add a bit of 'you' into the mix, so let's work together to create a menu perfect for you. From sharing platters, pie and mash, roast sirloin to lobster, we have served them all.

We offer two options for your wedding seating, round tables of up to 10 or long trestle style tables seating up to 16 down each side, your top table can be just for 2 or up to 8, or you can opt for a round top table up to 10.

EVENING RECEPTION Get your dancing shoes ready it's your time to shine. All our couples say the same thing about their evenings 'it felt like hiring a really big house for a party', and that is exactly how we like it. Our evening receptions can cater for up to 130 people and when the sun is shining your guests can enjoy the terrace, the patio and our courtyard outdoor areas too.

Enjoy a night of dancing, with great food and drink for the adults and why not make use of the Blue Room for the children and set up a cinema or XBox room to keep them entertained.

OUR ROOMS We have 14 bedrooms across the hotel, 1 duplex suite, 2 signature rooms, 2 superior rooms, 2 family rooms and 7 snugs. We have 2 rooms located on the ground floor. We also have a 4 bedroom holiday home next door that sleep nine additional guests. Why not make it into a 2 day wedding and stay the night before.

All our rooms feature Simba mattresses, Alexas, Bathrobes, Netflix TVs and most importantly all are dog friendly. The great thing about having up to 32 of your guests staying over is that the celebrations carry on the next morning when you all come down for a family breakfast before saying your goodbyes.

PACKAGES All our packages include an arrival and toast drink, wine with your meal, a three course locally sourced meal* with tea and coffee station, post box, chair sashes and easel hire, evening food (light bites section), master of ceremonies and over night stay bed and breakfast in our Aya duplex suite. Our Silver package caters for 30 day and 30 night guests and our Gold package for 60 day and 90 night guests. *Packages include a set menu with an extra option for food intolerances and you can add a second choice from £1 per head, a fourth course of soup or cheese can be added for £5 per person. Extra guests can be added.
