IT’S TIME TO GET BACK IN THE GYM!
Welcome to another season of FXW Basketball! The FXW staff is ready to begin practice and training sessions to help make you a more complete player and person The hoops season comes with much anticipation and excitement. We ask that everyone involved in FXW basketball do their very best to make this season a positive experience for all the athletes.
My name is Nick Bennett. I’m the Grade 6 social studies teacher at FXW. I’ll also be working as the Basketball Operations Coordinator for all FXW teams For 11 years after college, I was a men ’ s basketball coach all over the country (Marquette, FGCU, TexasRio Grande Valley, Wisconsin-Whitewater). More recently, I was the Head Varsity Basketball Coach at St. Catherine’s High School in Racine, WI
While roaming the hallways I’ve been asked so many questions about the upcoming hoops season. The kids are filled with energy and joy when discussing their much-anticipated season There will be highs and lows from every game and practice. Regardless of the outcomes, the FXW coaching staff will do our very best to ensure the athletes walk away better players, competitors, and teammates

FXW’s Luke Britton wins Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest!
Each year, the Knights of Columbus holds a free throw competition for local youth basketball players. The winner of last year ’ s competition was FXW fifth grader Luke Britton!

Last spring, FXW offered a two-day basketball clinic hosted by FXW alum Lucas Williamson ‘13 Lucas won two State Championships as a star player at Whitney Young High School and was a key player on Loyola University’s Final Four team in 2018 Currently, Williamson is playing professional basketball in the NBA G-League.
