The Wianno Club is steeped in refined tradition and has provided generations of families with a diverse range of programs. Perched on a bluff overlooking Nantucket Sound, The Wianno Club has provided the perfect setting for all manner of gatherings for over one hundred years. Families have selected this singular and charming place to meet in celebration of anniversaries, family reunions and annual vacations, thereby creating treasured lifelong memories. In addition to Cape C o d and New England residents, the membership reaches nationwide. A popular site for weddings, it is not uncommon for the Club to host the reception of a bride or groom whose parents' and grandparents' receptions were also held there. The Wianno Club is a private seasonal club located on 156 acres in Osterville, Massachusetts. Since 1916, the Club has been dedicated to providing its members and their families with a wide range of social and athletic activities. The Club features a quintessential “Shingle Style” New England clubhouse that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and an 18-hole Donald Ross golf course.

Serving as host to members and guests began on April 1, 1916 when, under the administration of Co m modore W. B. H. Dowse, the Wianno Yacht Club purchased the Cotocheset House hotel and formed the Wianno Club.


the position

The Wianno Club is searching for a committed, proactive, and passionate club professional to assume the role of Director of Food and Beverage. One who enjoys working in an exciting private club environment and has the ability to lead and motivate their team to deliver exceptional and diverse experiences to the membership is a must. The Director of Food and Beverage will coordinate and oversee all aspects of the Food and Beverage operation, withholding the rich tradition of the Club while introducing new and exciting programming and offerings. This individual will work closely with the managers and staff to deliver personalized, high-touch service to the club members. This is a year around position with a great focus on a seasonal environment May-October.

▪ Ability to cultivate a high-level of member satisfaction through consistency in services and amenities. ▪ A strong understanding of top-notch food and beverage experiences for Club members and guests. ▪ Effective fiscal management through development and delivery of actual operational and capital results in alignment with approved budgets. ▪ The desire to maintain high level of visibility among members and staff as the face of the Food and Beverage operations. ▪ A sense of urgency and ability to balance multiple areas of responsibilities simultaneously. ▪ Experience recruiting top notch seasonal staffing.

qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership and management experience, preferably in a private club.

A Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or business management a plus

ServSafe Certification preferred

The position is available immediately.

Salary & Benefits Salary is open and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Club offers an excellent bonus and benefit package.
