Forsyth Country Club is searching for a highly motivated and passionate leader that has the knowledge and influence to continue to lead their team in the tradition of excellence at the Club.
The person in this position is responsible for all front of house food and beverage management, ensuring high service levels are consistently maintained, and the club’s $4 3MM food and beverage operations, including an active casual grill, banquet facilities, pool pavilion, men’s grill, and our fieldhouse are operated successfully Additionally, this individual supervises the housekeeping department and laundry operation to ensure cleanliness and professional presentations of the clubhouse, fitness and pool pavilion, golf and racquet facilities, and all other member and back of house employee common spaces

Thus, Clubhouse Manager must support the professional growth of the management team and line level staff under his/her supervision through regular counsel and coaching.
Specific focus on the food and beverage operation and maintaining a culture of excellence for the members and guests is critical to this position Excellent communication, both written and oral, and people skills are required for success in this role This is a hands-on leadership position The successful candidate must be willing to get in the trenches with staff.
▪ Monitors the food and beverage, housekeeping and family activities budget and directs corrective action procedures as necessary to help ensure budget goals are attained.
▪ Functions as an administrative link between departments.
▪ Monitors internal cost control procedures.
▪ Plans and coordinates training and professional development programs for all direct reports.
▪ Maintains contact with members and helps to ensure maximum member satisfaction.
▪ Receives and resolves complaints from club members, guests and employees.
▪ Participates in on-going facility inspections throughout the club to ensure that cleanliness standards are consistently attained.
▪ Serves as an ad hoc member of the House and Family Activities Committee
▪ Serves as a departmental manager when coverage is needed
▪ Interacts with members answering questions, solving problems, overseeing services and cleanliness
▪ Counsels with other managers and employees about employee grievances and complaints; directs problem correction where possible.
▪ Monitors labor; evaluates scheduled and actual labor hours and costs in food and beverage, family activities and housekeeping
▪ Researches new products and develops an analysis of their costs and benefits.
▪ Oversees club operations on a daily basis
▪ Reviews all accidents.
▪ Works with human resources representative to develop long-term staffing needs for the food and beverage department.
▪ Monitors employee dress codes and member dress codes as applicable.
▪ Completes other appropriate assignments and projects made by the assistant general manager.
▪ Gathers and evaluates communication materials for club newsletters, weekly emails, and app and website information regarding dining and social events.
▪ Hires, trains, supervises, schedules, and evaluates the work of management staff in the front of house food and beverage, and housekeeping departments.
▪ A Hospitality Management degree and 3-5 years management experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
▪ CMAA Member
▪ TIPS or equivalent beverage certification.
▪ Must foster an atmosphere of learning and development.
▪ Create enthusiasm to elevate the food and beverage operation to the highest level possible.
▪ Must be highly organized and an effective communicator.
▪ Ability to work professionally under busy conditions.
▪ Receptive and responsive to feedback and suggestions from membership and management.
Salary is open and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
