In all cases the work is to be done by the CHILD unless concessions have been stipulated. Children are limited to one entry per section. Children may enter in their age category ONLY. Where no age is stipulated that category is open to anyone under the age of 16 years. Age will be taken into consideration for judging of open categories. Entry tags must be completely filled out, including the child’s age, and securely attached to all entries. Entry tags are available at the Fair Office the week before the Fair. Exhibits may be entered on Wednesday before the Fair from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. or Thursday before the Fair from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Judging will begin at 10:30am. All exhibits must be the work of the exhibitor, and must not have been previously exhibited at the G.N.E. Exhibits, in the Agri-Cultural Building & Quonset Building, may be picked up beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. However, vehicles are NOT permitted up to the Buildings until the fair closes at 5:00 p.m. Any items not picked up on Sunday of Fair weekend will become property of the GNE and will be disposed of on October 1st. School classroom participation is welcome. The cost of a school class entry is $4.00. Please make sure that the child’s name is not visible on the front of the entry. Judges decisions are final. PLEASE FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY (this includes measurements). When the instructions state “use any medium” it means you can use anything you want! For example; paint, markers, crayons, foamies, googly eyes, glitter, stickers, pipe cleaners etc. Note the addition of an “Open Class” that was added due to the feedback we have received from families. Please remember that all children are welcome to enter any section in Jr Fair. The “Open Class” was added to provide another option for individuals with physical and / or developmental support needs.
