Saturday’s annual Bannister’s Day golf Stableford event attracted a field of 13 players for the women’s division.

Tena Blignaut continued her winning streak after she claimed the win on a countback with Serena Fraser, after both scored 38 points.

Daphne Cross was third on 37 points followed by Geraldine Francisco (36) and Julie Livingston on 34.

The Nearest the Pin winners on the 8th hole were Fay Hardwick, Tena Blignaut and Daphne Cross.

Sunday’s Four-Ball-Best-Ball Stableford managed 14 brave players taking on the freezing blustery wind which didn’t seem to deter some players at all.

Sally Bannister and Tena Blignaut had a team score of 44 points to win on a countback from Daphne Cross and Marlene Wynd, also on 44 points.

Another countback was needed to separate the third place pairing of Glenda Peebles and Fran Samios from Geraldine Francisco and

Jannine Wilkin when both teams came in with 38 points.

The individual winner on the day was Sally Bannister with an incredible 40 points.

Marlene Wynd was the runner-up with 37 points followed by Daphne Cross on 34.

Closest to the pin on the 11th hole were Sally Bannister, Geraldine Francisco and Glenda Peebles.

Brenda Fugar was last Wednesday’s Stroke game winner posting 69 net, and she also collected the B Grade putting prize finishing with 28 putts over the 18 holes.

Reina Cross was the day’s runner- up with 72 net.

Sally Bannister won the putting competition for A Grade having 30 putts and Daphne Cross had 29 putts for C Grade.

Today is a Stableford round and on Saturday the annual Inter Mine Golf Challenge three person Ambrose will take place with tee off times strictly between 8am and 10am.
