Mids Rovers run all over United to finish with a 3-0 win

Rovers ran all over United in their Mids division game in the Cobar Junior Soccer competition on Saturday finishing with a 3-0 win.

Mark McBride scored twice for his Rovers team with Joseph Theakston’s boot adding their extra point.

The other Mids match between Liverpool and Rangers ended in a thrilling 3-all draw with Jack Geppert scoring all three goals for his Liverpool team.

Isla McKervey (2) and Henry Ntamuhanga netted goals for the Rangers.

Big win for the Dartaholics

Golfie Dartaholics had a big 9-2 win in their darts match against RSL last week while the new team in the competition, the RSL Dingoes, beat the Golfie Gophers 7-4.

In the other scheduled match, Golfie Spearchuckers forfeited their game to the Empire Barflies.

The men’s highest score of the week was once again 140 and was shared by Tony Brown, Jason Arnold and Jacob Ryan.

Mom Thou had the ladies highest score with 138.

Brown and Arnold also recorded the Highest Peg Outs for the men for the week with 50, while Khaliah Anderson, with 68, had the ladies Highest Peg Out.

Golfie Gophers Jim Nicholls 122 and Aaron Jones 100; RSL Dingoes Jason Holmgreen 105, Waylon Ward 115, Brett Miller 106, 100 and Khaliah Anderson 100; RSL Tony Brown 140, 100, 100, Don Roberts 100, Kylie Roberts 121, 100 and Mom Thou 138; Golfie Dartaholics Jason Arnold 140, Craig Jones 134, 100, Ben Jebb 140 and Jason Collier 138, 100.

Michael Rogers earned the Cobar Hotbake Donut Awards.

In the Minis competition, Rangers had a big 5-0 nil win in their match with Wanderers with Darcy Geppert unstoppable to score four goals.

The other Minis game resulted in United getting the better of the Rovers to finish with a 5-2 win.

Max Preisig booted all five goals for United while Rovers’ goals were netted by Sam McKervey and Corey Martin.

Karlie Eade, Henry Thompson, Zane Mtamuhhanga and Layla Fugar took home the

Donut awards while Delilah McBride, Mason Hill and Lincoln Griffiths earned the Milkshake awards.

In the Seniors division the Wanderers got the better of Rangers to claim a 6-4 victory.

Wanderers’ goals were scored by Rebecca Hibbert (2) Isaac Theakston (2), Deni Brown and Fraser Talu.

Jeremy Theakston scored twice for Rangers while Caleb Theakston and Braiden Jones also netted a goal each.

Fraser Talu and Cora McKervey earned the Milkshake awards while Deni Brown and Jeremy Theakston won the Donut awards.
