DO YOU DARE TO HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH? PASTOR NKECHI ENE (MRS.) Do you have the guts to have more than enough? Too many of us do not have enough; some of us think we have more than enough, but the more than enough I am talking about is the more than enough that Jehovah considers as more than enough. He is El-Shaddai. He is the God that is more than enough and I tell you, some of us think we have more than enough, but His own realm of more than enough is not like our own. That’s why I’m asking you: can you dare to have more than enough? I have made up my mind that I am going to take the challenge; I have made up my mind that I am going to dare to have more than enough, El-Shaddai’s realm of more than enough, not what you think is more than enough. Some people get very uncomfortable when you talk about money. Some people are very ‘spiritual’, too ‘spiritual’ to talk about money. If you are in that category, you don’t know about God’s more than enough. You don’t know why He wants you to have more than enough. There is something I discovered that is very simple but really excited me. You know, before Christ left, He asked us to go into all the world and preach and teach the gospel. That is what we call the great commission. Let me tell you something; the foundation of the great commission is Christ. If Christ had not come, there would have been no great commission and the foundation of the success of the great commission is money. People are getting born again because Christ died on the cross for their sins and He was resurrected from the grave but many people are going to hell without accepting that sacrice because money is not available to send the gospel to them. So, if you are uncomfortable because you are so “spiritual” and so religious, it means you don’t have a passion for souls. Somebody who has a passion for souls understands that the foundation of the great commission is money. The Bible says in Romans 10: 13: “For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall
be saved.” and Paul begins to ask a question in verses 14 and 15. He goes from the rst thing down to the foundation; he says: “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?...” That’s the foundation. So the great commission broken down is Christ saying: bring the money so we can send people to preach so they can hear, believe, call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. It doesn’t matter how spiritual
you are, without money, there is no great commission. I am trying to dare you to have more than enough. Can you dare to have more than enough or are you satised to have just enough or not enough all your life? The Bible tells us in Exodus 12 that when the children of Israel were to leave Egypt, God told them to collect gold and silver, and they did. The Bible said they spoiled them, they took everything and the Egyptians were too stunned by the plague that had come upon them that they gave everything. Now, the children of Israel who were slaves for all these years collected all these things and they matched into the desert. In the wilderness, there was a big electronic shop
for them to buy electronics; there were designers’ boutique for them to buy clothes. O! Don’t forget where the cars were sold. So they were carrying all these silver and gold and there were no where to spend it. Why did God give it to them? God even provided food for them; He gave them manner and quails. He even worsened matters by making sure their shoes did not wear out. So there was no need to buy shoes. He provided for them from head to toe. He gave them a spiritual generator, an air conditioner, He gave them everything but they still had the silver and the gold. Confusion: “All this money, Lord, and nothing to do with it?” They matched into the wilderness and God said, “Now you will build Me a house”. All that silver and all that gold and all your needs have been met; what do you do with that? The reason why God gave them the money was because He needed a dwelling place. He said, “Build Me an Ark, and build Me a dwelling place”. When they crossed the red sea and Miriam was singing, she said...I will build thee a habitation, they began to see why they were carrying all that money: to build a dwelling place where Jehovah would reside, that is why the Ark was so carefully built with the wealth of the wicked; with the money that came from the Egyptians. No other money! The people could build the Ark because they saw that with or without the money, Jehovah could take care of them. You have to get to a point where you realise that Jehovah shall provide for you when you have money and when you don’t have money. The money you have is not what makes Him provide for you. He can provide for you with or without your money but the reason why you should have the money is so you can provide a dwelling place for Him. Who is the dwelling place? You, the church, the body, the kingdom. When you give to your local assembly, you are building Him a habitation, a dwelling place.
