2021: Our Year Of Expanded Influence (Part 1)

Earlier in 2020, we received a prophecy from God about the season of Joseph. He told us about greatness, promotion, expanded inuence, and abundant provision.

Meditating on that prophecy, it became clear that He was pointing us towards 2021 and directing us more clearly towards what He had in store for us in 2021.

and he was taken to Egypt; to Potiphar's house. Potiphar's wife lusted after him; tricked him, and he got thrown into prison. While in prison, he met the butler and the baker; eventually, he was rescued from the prison when Pharaoh sent for him, and he became the prime minister of Egypt, second only to Pharaoh.

In this article, we will study the life of Joseph and the processes that God took him through until his inuence expanded. The mandate for 2021 will be made clear to you, and you will run with it to full all the Lord has in store for you, not just in 2021 but from 2021.

Psalm 105:17-22 summarizes this story.

. Joseph was a boy of about 17 years old or less and he had big dreams. . He was a son that was loved and favoured by his father. . He was a brother whose dreams brought opposition and envy from his brothers. . He was a victim of persecution. . He was an epitome of integrity.

3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also, he made him a tunic of many colours.

4 But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peaceably to him.

5 Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more.

What happened to Joseph after that? His brothers took him, threw him into a pit, sold him into slavery,

17 He sent a man before them— Joseph—who was sold as a slave.

18 They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons.

19 Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the LORD tested him.

20 The king sent and released him, The ruler of the people let him go free.

21 He made him lord of his house, And ruler of all his possessions, 22 To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his elders wisdom.

Let's look at some of the things you could say about Joseph; As we go through his Curriculum Vitae (CV), you may nd your person reected somewhere in that CV:

. As a servant, he served at every opportunity. . He was a recipient of divine favour that always came on time. . He was a leader who took his time to develop his leadership skills whenever he could. . He was somebody who touched abundance and therefore, he was a provider to a lot of people.

Does that begin to sound like somebody you know or yourself?

These are all the things you can begin to say about Joseph, but there is something else about him: he was somebody whose inuence grew and expanded.

The Signature Of God The dreams of Joseph, in the order in which they came, spoke that Joseph would go from great to greater and greater. His rst dream was just about him and his brothers, but in the next dream, he had included the sun, the moon, and the stars.

Therefore, Joseph's dream spoke that he was going to get greater and greater and greater. That is the signature of God. God's signature is increasing increase, abounding abundance, an expansion that keeps expanding, growing inuence.

There is never any stagnation where God is involved. There is never any stop, slow down, or any recession where God is involved. It is the signature of God to have increasing increase, unending promotion, abounding abundance, extending borders, expanding inuence.

The Mandate Of God When Jesus spoke to His disciples about the Holy Spirit, you see the same pattern with Joseph. Acts 1:4 and 8 says: 4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait

for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Acts 1:4,8 (NKJV) 8 Then you will tell everyone about me in Jerusalem, in all Judea, in Samaria, and everywhere in the world.”

Acts 1:4,8 (CEV) 8 And yet you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the remotest parts of the earth.

This is the mandate of God and it has been given to you to tell everyone about Jesus not just in your local area or even in your country, but everywhere in the world! That is why you have the Holy Spirit, and because you have the power of the Holy Spirit, there is no stagnation in your life. There is

no stagnation in your impact. There is no going back in your inuence.

The Bible says you will start from a little space, and you will move. You will not stay in your Jerusalem; you will grow to your Judea, and you will grow to your Samaria, and you will move to the remotest parts of the earth. That is the signature of God. I prophesy to you that there is nothing in your life in 2021 that will be in the same place it was in 2020.

There will be progression in every single area of your life because of this mandate, because of this power of God, and because this is the signature of God over your life.

There will be increase, there will be an extension of borders, there will be an expansion of your inuence, there will be greater greatness, there will be abounding abundance.

What you think you have touched in 2020 will be nothing compared to what God has in store for you in 2021.

God says, “There was a time I told you not to depart from Jerusalem. Once I sent you the Holy Spirit, you had to move to Jerusalem. You could no longer stay there”. By the power of that Holy Spirit, the mandate changed and it was no longer staying put in Jerusalem, it was no longer staying put in your local area, it was “move” to your Judea, nd your Samaria and get to the remotest parts of the earth because that is what the power of the Holy Spirit has been given to you for. That is why the prophecy that came to us said, “The time was now but it didn't start now”. When you nd yourself stretching into your Judea, and your Samaria, and your uttermost part of the earth in whatever area of your life, don't for one minute be deceived into thinking it started in 2021.
