Dear Members, As we approach a crucial period with the upcoming general election in the UK, the BTA will be closely monitoring the promises and commitments made by various parties in their manifestos, particularly those impacting business travel. We are keen to understand how these proposals will shape our industry and will be planning our engagement with the government from 5th July onwards. We have recently hosted some excellent events with outstanding attendance, including the Meetings and Events Conference, the BTA Breakfast, and our first ever Scotland roadshow, which allowed us to catch up with our TMC colleagues north of the border. These events are invaluable in fostering dialogue, in engaging with all stakeholders in the business travel sector and embracing collaboration within our community. Looking ahead, I am excited about the upcoming Planet Plan Conference on 8th July and, of course, deeply involved in the preparations for our Autumn Conference in Gibraltar. This promises to be a highlight of the year, and I am thrilled about the content and networking opportunities we have planned. Details on the events and agenda for Gibraltar will be released in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. Ahead of us gathering in Gibraltar we have the European football championships in Germany and the Olympics in Paris to look forward to, so lets get behind our nations and hope for a trophy or two and lots of medals.
