Miss Betty Desire has been entertaining anyone who would listen in Bellingham for over 20 years, and is proprietor of The Betty Pages, the monthly publication that you are reading at this very moment. It is her hope that your perusal of the Betty Pages will enrich your life one chuckle at a time. Writer Bridget Adams currently resides in Washington State but that is always subject to change. Lucky enough to be a full-time, if poor, writer, she is most likely somewhere in front of her computer with a cup of coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

There is hope. Hillary Clinton may surprise us all. With her at the helm progressives may have a chance. If the Democrats take the Senate, and the Puppet Masters are asleep, Bernie may well be the chairman of the Senate Budget commit-

tee. The platform (which most political hacks will tell you means nothing) is the most progressive since the New Deal. We must “rabble rouse” and insist that this platform be implemented. I am tired, I want to retire, but I have Grandchildren and frankly they deserve best. While on the subject of the election, please, if you are “filling the porcelain god” whenever you allow yourself to think about the choices we have left at the “top of the ticket” vote the “down ticket” Truth tells us that those government entities (and which political philosophy controls them) that operate closest to home have an exponentially higher effect on our everyday existence. Democrats are one Senator from losing control of the Washington State Senate and 2 Representatives from losing control of the Washington State House. Historically that would not really be a cause for alarm. But for at least the last 10 years cooperative bipartisanship has been painfully absent. The federal “party of No” holds some sway over the philosophy of the State locals, Washington’s Republicans did go for Donald Trump in the Primaries. So in other words, the locals who supported Donald Trump for President are quite close to controlling the Washington State House and Senate. I am not sure if that prospect bodes well for those who feel the slashing of social programs at the Federal level needs to be shored up at the local level in order to protect vulnerable Washingtonians. I am not sure that bodes well for those who want our roads and infrastructure repaired when even local Republicans would sooner buy an “off road vehicle” than raise taxes to fix pot holes. There was a meme on social media that actually sums things up fairly well: Long after this election is over Donald Trump and and Hillary Clinton will still be rich. Half of us (who bother to vote) will be able to claim “we won!” The other half (who bother to vote) will have 4 years to say “that’s why I didn’t vote for __________! Just remember the majority of us live in a different America than out Presidential Candidates. We have to live ,work, and eat with each other in our America. We don’t get to hop on a jet and fly away from problems in our community that make us feel “uncomfortable.” (think about that a little before you “unfriend” those Facebook peeps who support a different candidate than you!) We are the ones that make up this Country, not our Presidential candidates. Hillary or Donald will not be able to unilaterally stop crime in our neighborhood. Neither Hillary or Donald can stop people from stealing your identity. Neither Hillary or Donald can stop anyone from shooting up a local nightclub. Neither will teach your child right from wrong but you can. Neither will come to your house and teach your child math ,but you can. We make this Country, not them. Vote for whomever, but as you do remember, we live here, what we do shapes our communities. Not them. Count your Blessings Washingtonians! In this State we get to vote in the privacy of our homes, or in my case my favorite Coffee Shop. As I type this it is Monday October 24th. I received my ballot in the weekend mail. I am now off to The Black Drop to fill it out finishing with a short walk to the Courthouse drop box cause I don’t want to waste money on a “poll tax” (postage) If you mail in your ballot remember it takes like 68 cents! While the rest of the Nation, other than our southern neighbor Oregon, waits for November 8th, we get it done, get it in, and relax with a latte. No fuss, no muss, no long lines! Whose going to take up the challenge and file an initiative so that all 18 year olds will be automatically registered to vote with the ability to opt out like Oregon does? I hate it when we fall behind!

+++This is possibly the most difficult decision in a presidential contest I have ever experienced. Not because of the Republican nominee, for me Donald Trump was a non-starter, but because of the very public political shenanigans in the Democratic Party that skewered the results in favor of Mrs. Clinton. The powers that be within the Democratic party can no longer wag their fingers at Republicans for election rigging. They have completely lost the high ground as a result of the low ball political quackery exhibited in the primary against BERNIE SANDERS. Whether or not you agree with “wikkie leaks” the “transparency” forced by leaked internal Democratic National Committee e-mails revealed the soft underbelly of power politics that passes for democracy in 2016. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the woman in charge, was forced to resign her position. She was rewarded for her complacency with a high level well paid position in Hillary Clinton’s campaign organization. Those most disillusioned by the failing of the process are the “Millennials” the very people Democrats need to energize if they ever hope to return to their Social Democratic roots. Today’s Democratic Party at the national level is too financially conservative to nominate Franklin Roosevelt, let alone Bernie Sanders. Hillary’s ties to Wall Street and Hedge fund Managers run deep. Leaked excerpts of her over paid speeches to Wall Street firms make it a “leap of Faith” for any “Berner”to believe that she will do anything other than lip service to reigning in the excesses of “bank loan bundling” and Wall Street profiteering. (Are you listening Wells Fargo?) With Hillary in office America’s financial sector will breath a huge sigh of relief. The saying used to be that the Republican Party was the Party of Business. Today both major Political parties at the Federal level give the very public appearance of “bought and paid for” If you choose to write in Bernie Sanders and you live in Washington State feel free to do so. There is no mathematical chance for our electoral college votes to go to Donald Trump. I will reluctantly support Hillary Clinton. The Sanders Revolution must continue at the grass roots level. The difficult, brain numbing, energy sucking, time consuming job of electing like minded dog catchers, school board members, cemetery board members, fire district heads, precinct committee chairs, City council members, Mayors, County council members, State legislators, Auditors, Treasurers, must happen if real change is to take hold and last more than a single election cycle. This process is made incredibly difficult by design because the power broker puppet masters hate true competition more than Communism, terrorism, Obama Care, and Single payer health care combined. Their hope is that with the amount of time Americans work to make ends meet(the most in the developed world, again by design) they will have no time left to think, let alone take to the streets in protest. At this moment in time we have the worst income disparity between the “rich” and the “poor” in our Nations history! Does anyone remember the income disparity before the French Revolution? How many of you remember the fabled battle cry of the American Revolution? No taxation without representation! That was said in response to a tax on the Colonists that benefited the British. The American Colonists had no representation in the English Parliment. That same cry is valid now as the 99% are taxed and the benefactors are the wealthy who have the will and ability to buy elections and influence (bribe without breaking the law) Representatives.

I am compelled to write something very personal tonight. We’ve all learned a lot about each other during this Presidential campaign, many of us I suppose learning things about each other we’d rather not know. A very long time dog friend of mine posted a meme supporting Trump with a long list of attributes including his opposition to same sex marriage. I have been gay all my life, for much of it not enthusiastically I can assure you, but this is part and parcel of who I agreed to be when I chose this incarnation. Most of you who consider yourselves “tolerant” of gay people today were very prejudiced against them 10 years ago. As a young man I attempted suicide several times because I couldn’t accept being a loser. This was like a horrible burden I didn’t feel I chose and didn’t want to accept. I buried this down inside me until one day when I watched two old white commentators on TV telling the viewing audience all about why people were gay. They didn’t have a fucking clue what they were talking about and right then I knew I had chosen this life because this profoundly ugly energy of these men needed to be rebuked.

What I’ve come to learn through research is that our single and sole purpose through our incarnations on this planet are to learn to LOVE each other. We come in separation because this is our test to learn. How many of you initially felt uncomfortable when you saw your first interracial couple? Or you met Jews, or blacks or whatever was different than what you were used to? Did you hold to your fear, your discomfort? Did you run to your bible to look for the justification for your discrimination? Because when you find solace in your religion for separation you are worshipping a false god. When you embrace fear and you embrace separation you are nothing but a stunted soul who is missing the whole point of your being. I do not need people in my circle who bring their dark energy. I wish you well, I wish you growth but if your heart holds hypocrisy then you need to be gone from my life. Luxuriate in your darkness, you will come to light in some lifetime but maybe not this one. I don’t need a lot of friends. I need only a few who wish to share the light.

The Moon Card By Kevin Walder

The Moon is a member of the Major Arcana family and has a great deal to say about the real question at hand. Often what seems to be the obvious issue is just a symptom of something deeper which needs to be resolved.

I find that the use of The Tarot is much less about finding answers to life’s question and more about redirecting our perceptions and assisting us in redefining our questions. The finality of receiving an answer will often discourage further investigation and can shut down creativity while a shift in perception can help us to refocus on the real issues and goals so that we remain open to new possibilities. Traditionally The Moon is thought to represent obscured vision, not seeing the issue clearly, but when one looks closely at the effects of moonlight it can change our appreciation for this card. If you look out your window in the daylight you can clearly see all the major components of your landscape, but the abundance of light may keep you from noticing some of the more minute details. So it is with moonlight, the scene will look quite different in the reduced light and shadows will appear where none existed before, but once acclimated to the lower light level you begin to notice new details in those shadows. Appreciate the Moon for it may lead you to answers you may have overlooked in the bright light of day, your best directions may lie in the shadows. The artwork for this card in the Robin Wood Deck shows the Moon dominating

the background while a wolf and a dog howl in the foreground. This alludes to the uneasiness we often feel in the dark, but points to the fact that life is still going on and flourishing in the dark. Since, for most of us, nighttime is considered our down time and time for sleep we sometimes fail the realize just just how active the nocturnal world can be. Life goes on no matter what the light level and some of our fellow creatures thrive in the shadows cast by moonlight. When I see The Moon appear in a reading I immediately think that the querent needs to spend sometime getting to know their own environment more intimately. They need to take the time to see how their life and situation looks in the shadows and moods of moonlight. We are often so used to all the stimuli around us, the activity and sounds that are part of our modern world that we fail to take time to be alone in silence and darkness to look into our own shadows. Very often the noise of modern life completely overwhelms the softer sounds of our intuition and the guidance coming to us from the higher self. The Moon encourages us to slip away from the turmoil and allow our minds the peace and quiet necessary for true introspection. How has the dreamy energy of The Moon influenced your life in the past? How do you relate to the energy of The Moon? Do you regularly spend time in meditation and introspection? Kevin Walder is available for phone and Skype Tarot Consultations at: www.kevinwalder.com

In The Mix Bridget Adams

It’s November, which means for many of us, myself included, it’s Thanksgiving time. For others, it’s a problematic holiday, and I really get that. So instead of focusing on the day or the holiday, let’s focus on the idea of being thankful. Because, let’s be honest, it can feel like it’s hard to find anything to be thankful for these days. States are passing oppressive and dangerous anti-trans laws; employment and safety laws are being diluted and eroded; and a major candidate for president refers to us as “the gays” (and so much more, but I promised myself I wouldn’t go there today…). So, yeah, it’s hard to find something to be thankful for. But that doesn’t mean it’s not there. This month, rather than get bogged down in the governments, businesses, and communities that hate us, I’m choosing to be thankful for the businesses and communities that are standing with us, pushing back, and declaring our side to be their side. Now, the truth is that I struggle with having allies and my response to them. Because being an ally means standing with a group of people who are not the people in power. Otherwise, they wouldn’t need allies. On the one hand, I think we should support allies back. Praise them. Thank them. Give them our time, money, and/or energy in return. However, I also understand the response that says “I’m not going to give cookies to someone for treating me like the human being I actually am.” I get that side of it, too. Which is why I struggle.

So for me, I will be giving these companies my money and my support – and my thanks – this month, and as often as possible. While you have to make the decision for yourself, I can at least put these names in front of you, and let you decide. Since we’re into the holiday season (again, for many of us), let’s look at some basic categories: Grocery stores: Kroger brands gets 100% from the Human Rights Campaign. Here in Bellingham, that’s Fred Meyers. Wal-Mart, as much as I hate to give them props for anything, gets a 90. Whole Foods gets an 85, and SuperValu – or the Haggens here in town – gets an 80. That’s not say that other stores in the area are bad. It just means I can’t find a rating or an official policy for them. Retail shops: The very cool part about this category is that I can give you several stores that get 100s, and this is nowhere close to an all-inclusive list. Best Buy, Barnes and Noble, GameStop, Hallmark, Home Depot, JC Penney, and Target. Miscellaneous: CVS, Chevron, Seattle’s Best Coffee, Starbucks, and Walgreens all also merit 100s. The Important Holiday Stuff (booze, I’m talking about booze): MANY liquor companies get 100% from the HRC. Some specific options, but not anywhere close to all of them – Bacardi; Bailey’s; Bodega Elena de Mendoza; Glenlivet; Jack Daniels; and Seagrams. And, one last thought, in case you’re interested… the Trump Organization ranked 0. Until next month, take care of you – and each other.

India’s Queer Cinema: Not Many Sinners

By Lyle Pearson

“People stop and stare, Because we’re different. They stop and stare, But are we so different?” DOSTI is considered a precursor to the queer Indian film, with a friendship that, like that in SHOLAY, according to its lyric by Majrooh Sultanpuri, “will never break.”

To Kajri Jain, in GODS IN THE BAZAAR: THE ECONOMICS OF INDIAN CALENDAR ART (2007), “the strikingly new muscularity of the Ram image is worth pursuing [for] the violence that has accompanied it [since 1992].” That is, politically, the rise of the right-wing Bharata Janaata Party (Indian People’s Party, or BJP) followed by the destruction of the Muslim Babri Masjid (Mosque of Babur) in Ayodhya, near Lucknow. The mosque in Hindu folklore was built on the ruins of the birthplace of god Ram. Traditionally, “gods [did] not have warriors’ bodies” to Jain, in “the Vaishnava schema:” “it is more a matter of ‘lila,’ sacred ‘play,’ than of labor,” more spirit of mind than body. Traditionally, Indian figurative art did not use a physical model for inspiration, but mere reflections of spiritual vitality. Its gods are often soft, snow-white and plump. “Crucial to [India’s] socially and sacred economy has been the influential combination of Vedantist non-dualism with image worship” in bhakti (personal worship) allowing “a catholic (or rather, Vedantist) incorporation of secular figures and icons from multiple religions, on the principle that all forms of worship ultimately lead to the same universal godhead.” “Body engagements with the image constitute an integral part of the intended ‘viewing’ situation” however, to Jain. “It is characteristic of Vaishnava bhakti, and its mimetic relationship with models of devotion, that male devotees ... identify with either Hanuman [the monkey god] (in the case of Ram worship) or Radha (in the case of Krishna cults).” Krishna often cross-dressed as Radha, his primary consort, and Radha as Krishna. To Jain “transcendental patriarchal power within the Vaishnava visual schema extends … to the predominantly Vaishnavsa trading communities of the bazaar.” And that’s where Indian calendar art comes from. “While the Hindi cinema in the 1950s and 1960s has its share of nativist ‘sons of the soil’ [or rural heroes], it also [saw] the emergence of the male protagonist [sanctioned by the government] called the ‘Five Year Plan hero,’” urbane, “often foreign returned [enabling] him to negotiate between a feudal patriarchal order and ... modernity.” Heroes remained “more brains and heart than brawn,” or we might say pre-metrosexual--until Indira Gandhi’s Emergency of 1975-77, when more muscular Ram images” began to become, to Jain, a modest “reactive (as well as reactionary), re-territorialising response.” “The urga or aggressive Ram of [Ayodhya] would never have been possible, nor necessary, without,” to Jain, Amitabh Bachchan, ‘an angry young man’ or “lumpen rebel-vigilante.” Tall, baritoned, dark, no Tarzan, yet searching for “justice [and] maternal affection.” Amitabh, imitated by “street boys,” a loafer, not the plump star of the past, in Ramesh Sippy’s SHOLAY (EMBERS, 1975), rides with his yaar (buddy, or dude) Dharmendra, on a motorcycle ‘singing’ (the voices are not their own) “Ye Dosti Ne Todenge” (This Friendship Will Never Break). Waist up nude with buddy Shashi Kapoor in Yash Chopra’s SILSILA (CHAIN, 1981) Amitabh speaks of playing drop the soap and seldom wears a shirt under his jacket. Amitabh’s famous drag scene in Prakash Mehra’s LAAWARIS (BASTARD, 1981) has his own voice singing “Mere Angne Mein Tumhare Kya Kam Hai?” (What Business Do You Have In My Yard?) while imitating fat, tall, dark and fair wives in four Indian languages. Here and in Prakash Mehra’s NAMAK HALAL (GOOD SALT, 1982), Manmohan Desai’s MARD (HERO, 1985) etc. Amitabh is not the plump Ram or Hanuman of tradition, nor yet the MGM Tarzan-copy of still less popular calendar art. Ashis Nandy, in his THE SECRET POLITICS OF OUR DESIRES: INNOCENCE, CULPABILITY AND INDIAN POPULAR CINEMA (1999) introduction “Indian Popular Cinema as a Slum’s Eye View of Politics,” writes that “more androgynous heroes, like Dilip Kumar and Rajesh Khanna, have been replaced by vigilantes, while “the villain has become more handsome, polished, erotically attractive, modern and in control of himself.” Now the ‘outsider’ hero according to Fareeduddin Kazmi in “How Angry Is the Angry Young Man? Rebellion in Conventional Hindi Films,” served justice that “the police cannot,” necessitated by “character disorders” rather than a corrupt society, before being reintegrated into that society, essentially a family, neutralizing a “disjunction” between fate, religion, mother and country.” In multi-star films “it is the group” that is reintegrated. Amitabh’s films with Rajesh Khanna, directed by the Bengali Hrishikesh Mukherjee, ANAND (PEACE, 1970) and NAMAK HARAM (BAD SALT, 1973), have faded in favor of this ‘Angry Young Man’ approach in films by Manmohan Desai and Prakash Mehra, often from scripts by the writing team Salim Khan and Javid Akhtar. Mehra’s ZANJEER (CHAIN, 1973), Yash Chopra’s DEEWAR (WALL, 1974) and SHOLAY all supply Amitabh with a buddy or brother, in SHOLAY another escaped

prisoner, with whom he sings, “Ye Dosti Nahin Todenge”—now a queer national anthem. Also in SHOLAY Amitabh tries to prevent his buddy from marrying by describing him to a prospective mother-in-law as a jobless, drunk gambler who visits courtesans. Unlike Raj Kapoor’s SANGAM (CONFLUENCE, 1964) and many other Hindi films where two friends vie for the love of one woman, here there are two women, one apiece, but the relationship between the two heroes can still be read as stronger than that to their women and potentially queer: to M. Madhava Prasad, “the code of dots takes precedence over that of heterosexual love.” Yet, with Amitabh, “the industry” to Prasad in IDEOLOGY OF THE HINDI FILM: A HISTORICAL CONSTRUCTION (2000) has contained “the centrifugal tendencies to segmentation, [i.e.] the honor of the khandaan (clan), now the bourgeoisie [with] “nationalist realism,” often “through the last minute disclosure of the lowly character’s noble birth. Yet he “could not slide into a position of affirmation of new sexual and social relations based on individualism.” The industry retained “the feudal order’s resistance to the invention of the private.” In “From Subjectification to Schizophrenia: The ‘Angry Young Man’ and the ‘Psychotic’ Hero of Bombay Cinema,” Ranjani Mazumdar sees newer hero Shah Rukh Khan, in his first films, unable to cope with the “growing centrality of the city” beyond the “binary oppositions that defined modernity,” e.g. “the negation of Bachchan’s control,” halfway between tradition and modernity, its pain externalized, as the formula no longer covered the then current crisis in Indian mass society -- “the violence of 1992 after the demolition of the Babri Masjid.” “Where the flow of desire is seen to have the potential for a radical displacement of the repressive structures of late capitalism,” to Gilles Deleuze, “a new mode that seems to challenge the formula’s location of a moral, ethical and legal order [presents] new possibilities, the least of which is the hanged architecture of desire, where the psychotic’s action holds out the utopian possibility of breaking all boundaries.” A disembodied voice, his family destroyed (as Amitabh’s was in ZANJEER), cynical, fatalistic, “challenging and reinventing some of the master codes of Bombay cinema [this new hero, Shah Rukh Khan], a “psychotic in [Yash Chopra’s] DARR [FEAR, 1993], and BAAZIGAR [GAMBLER, 1993, and in Rahul Rawail’s ANJAAM (CONSEQUENCE, 19940)] fleetingly poses the unimaginable during a moment of historical ruin, destruction and death in the city.” Revenge and new money make him insane. But by 2003, when Hindi film profits from NRIs (Non-resident Indians, i.e., the overseas market, eclipsed those from city and rural India (not difficult to do as rural ticket prices are low and government taxes high), Shah Rukh, now a heart patient in Nikkil Advani’s KAL HO NA HO (TOMORROW MAY NEVER COME, 2003), for comedy pretends to be gay, with co-star Saif Ali Khan, to tease a maid. The ‘buddy’ or ‘yaar’ thing becomes a running gag throughout the film. Romantic love was imported to India first as Muslim poetry’s “ishq” (passionate love) over Hindi “pyaar” (platonic love), followed by the English “I Love You,” all three repeated endlessly in polyglot Hindi film songs. But previous to Amitabh and Shah Rukh, and newer actors who remove their shirts to showoff their six-packs, there were three films by the Bengali director Satyan Bose, the first in Bengali, PARIBARTAN (CHANGE, or GROWTH, 1949), its Hindi remake JAGRITI (JAAGRITI, AWAKE, 1954) and DOSTI (FRIENDSHIP, 1964) also on yaraana (friendship). In the first and the second an errant street boy reforms after he causes the death of his crippled buddy. In DOSTI a cripple plays a harmonica while his blind yaar sings,

Astrology By Matt Keller

Saturn/Venus November 2nd It’s a special thing when two planets align and the Moon transits over them. Because it’s Venus and Saturn the way you function within your relationships is definitely shifting like earthquakes. Marriages are in trouble for Pisces and Virgo. March 4th and September 6th are the two birthday’s experiencing the most trifling circumstances. These individuals are only slightly better off than Gemini’s, especially the one born on June 4th. Along with the Sagittarius born December 6th, the fire signs Aries and Leo may be getting lucky with love. Wrap it before you tap it fellas, an unexpected blue line can really teach you some Saturn. Lucky numbers: 10,14,18,25,11,21,9,15,10

Mars November 6th Mars is the lesser Malefic. That means the lesser of two evils, and no I’m not talking about the presidential election. He’s hostile, arrogant, and selfcentered. Again I’m talking about Mars not Donald Trump. Don’t be surprised when you piss off everyone and get into useless arguments. Capricorns born January 20th are volatile and combative, with Aries and Libra close behind. Birthdays of April 16th and October 20th may want to post bail early. Earth signs Virgo and Taurus should be stimulated to accomplish something productive. If your birthday is May 16th or September 19th you need to finish that project you started a month ago. Lucky numbers: 14,27,20,23,12,14,21,9,15,10

Uranus November 12th An approaching full Moon shining with Uranus is always cause for concern. The rash unpredictability always causes mayhem and chaos. There are a handful of birthday’s which may be in line for a major malfunction. April or February 10th, June 11th, December 12th, July/August/September/November 13th, and October 14th. These are the days of dysfunction but no one is entirely safe. This could be a good day to stock up on valium and have your strait jackets handy. Lucky numbers: 20,21,29,0,2,13,15,9,10 Jupiter November 24th Jupiter always remains optimistic and hopeful even when faced with serious adversity. Cancer and its opposite Capricorn face the most squaring difficulties today, with January 8th and July 6th being the most impacted birthdays. Jupiter will be expanding consciousness through the scales of Libra during the following year, and those airheads with October 8th as their birthday need to keep their eyes open and egos in check. Slowly but surely the Arian ram will eventually burn out and accept their fate. Admit defeat and finally change if you were born on April 4th. Lucky numbers: 3,15,18,11,17,21,9,8

Saturn November 29th Each month when the Moon transits over Saturn life sucks for a day as responsibility sets in. Some people accept their fate while others reject it entirely. Highly likely to be learning from their past are the fire signs. Aries born April 6th and Leo’s born August 8th are finally admitting their egos, but any Sagittarius is just galloping away. Pisces and Virgo will be the people repeating their destructive cycles. Break away from your routine if your birthday is March 7th or August 9th. Gemini always has issues with responsibility and don’t expect much from them today. Lucky numbers: 8,17,26,21,15,16,20,9, Mercury November 30th When that little bugger Mercury and the Moon get involved conversations become lively then turn emotional. It’s a great day to get your friends drunk and see what they really think of you. Childish Gemini’s will be running their mouths the most. Quit your rambling if you were born June 18th. Your Pisces and Virgo acquaintances won’t be as receptive as usual. It’s a good day to get away if you were born on March 17th or September 19th. Boisterous fire signs will make you want to slap them like usual. Especially arrogant will be those born April 16th or August 19th Lucky numbers: 9,27,22,16,17,20,9,15,7 Monthly overview This month’s section is dedicated to my creative writing teacher Mr. Carl Steiner, whose influence greatly shaped my technique. Attention everyone! The largest Moon of our lifetime is slowly approaching. At nearly 221,000 miles away, the super Moon on the 14th will be closest it’s been since January of 1948. The massive beaver Moon may get a little hairy as the gravitational pull will be shifting tectonic plates and creating the largest tidal movements in decades. This is a cornerstone for a perfect storm, and anyone along the coastline should prepare for floods. Hopefully, the skies will be clear and we can witness this once in a generation event. November is when Orion begins shining the greatest. If the weather cooperates the full Moon should be positioned right in the aim of Orion’s bow. Venus has become a beautiful evening star, and her alignment with Saturn can be seen once the nighttime darkness sets in. The setting crescent Moon on the 2nd will be a wonderful sight for stargazers as well. Jupiter begins rising around 3:00 am and is a wonderful morning star which should be visible until around 8:00am everyday this month.

Pluto November 5th Like the flu every season. Sometimes you get it, sometimes you don’t. The Moon’s monthly progression over Pluto can cause unforeseen bombshells leading to total transformation. Changing the most are Capricorns born January 8th and Cancers on July 5th. Rarely does this mean the sky is falling, but random objects are out there. Catastrophe has plagued Aries and Libra lately. Individuals born April 4th or October 8th can begin to feel their needed relief. Earth signs have usually gotten away from the misfortune and should continue to do so. May 4th and September 7th are the birthdays which may be the exception though. Lucky numbers: 13,15,18,21,27,12,14,9,10

Neptune November 9th Neptune influences are hidden in your subconscious, and their hypnotic affect is rarely noticed until you’ve come out its trance. Human imagination will operate in different realms and open your mind to alternate frequencies. Unfortunately this can cause severe depression for those who suffer, and if you have friends born May or November 30th give them a call and check in. The Pisces born March 29th will need some love as well. Same with Virgo’s born September 1st. Sometimes a simple acknowledgement can change someone’s day. The Water signs Cancer and Scorpio need to stay away from drugs and alcohol. Addictions may prove more consequential than anticipated. Lucky numbers: 17,9,25,26,0,12,15,21,10
