Has Been DJ Stan’s passion for music began at an early age. Growing up surrounded by an African Dutch community influenced him deeply, and led him to fall in love with hip hop music. After spending the first 16 years of his life in Sydney, Australia and Holland, he returned to Jakarta, where he has lived ever since. Beginning to mix music in early 2000, his popularity quickly grew as he shared his knowledge of beats and rhymes with crowds throughout the capital city. In 2002, he formed the D’Makaveli label with his former manager, gaining much respect from local selectors. After three long years building the D’Makaveli name, Stan departed to create a new label with two friends and Trigger Production was formed. As the CEO/Founder of the new label, Stan has become a pioneer in the event management arena, picking up many young aspiring DJs in the process. As a DJ, Stan has rocked many a stage, being the center of attention at such parties as Godskitchen, Jakarta Movement Festival, Destination One, as well as opening for performers such as Sean Paul and Ja Rule. is Now A big name in the Jakarta music scene, Stan is no stranger to the high-octane crowds of Bali. He’ll be bringing bumping RnB rhythms to the decks of the newly-opened Blue Sapphire Club on the ground floor of The Stones entertainment complex. Have Been The Virgin are the Indonesian duo of vocalist Dara and guitarist Mita. The band is the brainchild of musical mastermind Achmad Dhani, who, in addition to his success with Dewa 19, has backed up big-name performers like Mulan Jamilah and Maha Dewi. The idea for the partnership first came to Dhani when he heard Mita’s self-written demo song ‘Cinta Terlarang,’ and instantly knew he had found a star, taking her under his wing. After seeing Dara’s performance while judging the TV show Mamamia, Dhani fell in love with her voice, promising that he would bring her to the recording studio. The two women were brought together in the studio, their chemistry sparking the duo’s debut single ‘Cinta Terlarang,’ which was unleashed on the public in early 2009, becoming an instant hit. The pair have since released a total of six singles, with an album also currently in the works. are Now The Virgin have gained great success in a short time, thanks to Achmad Dhani’s guidance, and have sold out shows throughout Java and Sumatra. They’ll be making their way to Bali on Friday, August 5th to perform their hits and new tunes.
