The Bascom Center for the Visual Arts provides a dynamic venue that supports artistic entrepreneurship throughout the Southeast region of the United States.

From May – October, The Bascom hosts an Atrium Series where 16 – 20 retail artists are featured in The Bascom’s Greehey Atrium during four, six-week featured presentations of work. Artists and work are selected by a visiting professional guest curator who also leads the installation/presentation of work in the Atrium gallery. Scheduling for the Atrium Series is determined by the guest curator, but you may request preferred presentation dates based on the schedule below.
Atrium Series 1: April 26 – June 10
Atrium Series 2: June 15 – July 22
Atrium Series 3: July 27 – September 4
Atrium Series 4: September 8 – October 14
Artists who are interested in submitting their work to The Bascom for sale must meet the standards and objectives of our non-profit mission. All work is for sale on a consignment basis with the artist receiving 60% of the retail price.
Approximately 25,000 people visit The Bascom annually in the highly desirable area of Highlands. With a robust second home and vacation destination market, the Highlands area offers excellent opportunity for artists of all mediums. Visit our website to learn more about The Bascom.

APPLICATION PROCESS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Deadline for submission is April 1, 2023
All artworks must be original and part of a cohesive body of work created by the artist.
Categories of artwork include, but are not limited to, ceramics, painting, jewelry, glass, metal, wood, paper, textiles, photography, basketry, and printmaking.
All work must exhibit excellence and creativity in concept, design and technique demonstrating a mastery of the medium.
All work must be professionally presented and ready to display for sale.
Artwork must have been produced within the last two years.
Multiples of an object must have an integral handmade component done by the artist or under his/her direct supervision.
Reproductions of artwork, i.e.: prints or notecards, must be designated as such and have been professionally reproduced.
