The Bascom’s Dave Drake Studio Resident Educator Artist Program Nestled at 4,100 ft. in the stunning Western North Carolina Mountains, The Bascom campus is home to the Dave Drake Studio, a 2,500 square-foot reconstructed barn named in honor of the renowned potter David Drake. The studio offers a dynamic Artist Residency program designed to support educators, emerging artists, and seasoned creators in developing their practice while fostering meaningful connections with the local community. The residency encourages artists to explore interdisciplinary approaches, experiment with innovative techniques, and develop a cohesive body of work within a supportive environment. They are encouraged to use this opportunity for creative exploration, reflection, and professional growth. During their residency, artists are required to: • • •
